    1 3/4" primary headers for a 66 mustang??

    also check accufab or RCI. The price for the accufab/Klass header was 500 uncoated plus options but no AOD applications. Havent checked RCI but cost was over 700 for the fox5.0 header 10 years ago.

    FRONT DRAG SPRINGS

    The most noticeable change will be the shock. the moroso springs will probably raise the car if you get them in, they are very tall out the box and not as soft as you might think. maybe a bit stiffer than stock small block springs but taller. try a set of Carrera 90/10 front shocks first.

    If your rear axle is still the stock width, 58" , the you will need the 15x8 with the 4 inch backspace. I run the alumastars with 28x9 slick or 28x11.50 etstreets. tire has 3/8 clearance from spring at rest.

    King Race Bearings? Ever hear of them???

    I think they are king acular bearings. They are used in racing engines from nascar to top fuel. The race bearings are expensive. if they are in good shape and the bearing clearance checks out ok then your good to go. But never a good idea to install used bearings with a new crank.

    AFR ?

    I belive afr and well basiclly all aftermarket heads are based off the 351 head. 289 block do have a slight differnce in cooling passages, somtimes refferd to as steem holes between the clinders. I dont know if it a big deal or not but there is a differnce. And just my opinion and experiance...

    Backspacing for 15X10" wheels?....

    The ideal backspace for a 99+ car is 7 inch for a 15x10. And not too sure about your fronts but there is a caliper clearance problem with 15 inch wheels and 13 inch brakes. A minimum of 3/4 inch spacer and minor clearancing of the brakes is required to fit a 15x3.5 weld wheel.

    dog rings are for clutchless shifting, strait cut gear will greatly increase the strenght of any trans but will whine. I would stay away from proshifted or dog ring trannies for street driving. Go with synchro's and helical gears and a good shifter.

    I dont think your gonna like to runb that wide a tire on that size rim. A 28x10.5 slick or 28x12.50 etstreet will be just about all you could run for cruisin out back. and a 15x10 rim will need atleast a 6.5 backspace but 7 would be better. I like the way a 275/60/15 drag radial looks on a 8...

    If you havent bought wheels yet then maybe you should look into a differnt brand, atleast a drag wheel. them prostars will need 3 inch studs to be track legal with slicks, not to mention safe. just know that the rule is the stud must thread into the hex part of the lug atleast a 1/4 inch. stock...
