    Car Show Damage - Quandry!

So finally got this wrapped up today, yes today... Ultimately the guy didn't want to pay for the full tick so off to ICBC. Couple weeks to get into there, got approval for... $300. I told the guy it wouldn't be enough and it wasn't. Thankfully the guy I found that does the installs went to...

    CDC CLASSIC CHIN SPOILER!!

Shouldn't have to clay bar it if you use the adhesion promoter. I know mine came with a kit with 3M tape and adhesion promoter. I can say don't do it without the promoter or it'll likely have a spot or two come free at some point.

pics of 1.5"+ lowered mustangs with 20s?

Was thinking of 18 x 8.5's Maybe 18 x 9's if the price was right. I had a great lead on them through the Ford guy on Mustang Source (brain lock right now) but it was just before the move and I couldn't justify the cost but it would have been $285 per wheel for the chrome which is $115 off per...

    First run with the Vortech

Those days where you get that many passes in are always great. Heh when I saw your ET I imediately said he must of had no traction and then saw your comments below. Your MPH is great I think with traction a getting used to launching you could hit those numbers.

    Car Show Damage - Quandry!

Thanks for the comments guys, given the nature of the hit I don't think either of us were overly worried about getting cops involved. Well the results are in, after A LOT of searching, emailing, calling with no replies I found the apparently only certified 3M Clear Bra installer left in BC...

pics of 1.5"+ lowered mustangs with 20s?

I've always loved those wheels Klaw as you know, but I am starting to warm up to the Anthricite. I was originally looking at Chrome but for the price difference I could almost pay for new tires too (at the 18" size anyways). :P Car's looking good man, I miss the strip and the Wed. shows at...

    American Muscle Tail Light Trim

I went with the Moss Slotted taillight covers and I love them. Painted them flat black and they match up with the Silverhorse honeycomb rear panel perfectly.

    New Shoes, figured I'd show

Definitely in my top two or three wheel choises. These the Shelby CS-66 and the Alcoa ones from the KR are ones I really like. These Razors in Chrome are great!

    Radiator Cover Extensions

I got some of the early ones of the extensions and they never came with caps for the prop rod hole, that sucks! I may have to go back and see if they'll mail me some.

    Car Show Damage - Quandry!

Hey all, been a while since I've been on, probably better for my pocketbook, lol. I moved last year from Calgary to Victoria so I haven't had a lot of time for the forums or to do much on my car. Anyways that aside I was at a Mustang show in Victoria this past Sunday and I got there nice and...

    Is your car paid for?

Mine's paid off since this last Spring. Spending is frozen on it by and large though I'm trying to free up some money for a few things this year. I went crazy on it in 08 to get it to where I wanted it. The next mods are just refining it so no big rush. Did a big and costly move so a lot of...

    Underdrive question

FWIW no issues on my Shaker 500 equipped car, been a nice addition and totally worth it.

    3.73 or 4.10

I went with 3.73's in my 06 Auto and am pretty pleased with them, in fact glad I didn't go 4.10's, I think it would have just been too much gear. As it is I find it just enough to improve the scoot in the middle of the power band and obviously off the line and on the highway it's not cycling...

Longest driven distance (in miles) in your S197

Not as long as some but in August 2006 did Calgary to Victoria to Richmond to Seattle to Vernon to Calgary. 1511Miles in total. Was one of the longer road trips I did and certainly one of the best, the S197 is a great highway car. Maybe not Lincoln good or anything but certainly way better...

what mods do you have planned for this year?

Not much this year, I got most of what I wanted done. With a recent move I'll be tapped out this year I think but if I pie in the sky it it'll likely be.. - Interior upgrades, namely a new Pioneer AVIC - Fog lights (perferably hidden behind my grille What I would really like is a new set of...

    Oil Change after storage

Pretty hard to develop flat spots unless it's sitting for a really long time. That was more of an issue for bias ply tires than anything. I've stored more than a few Stangs for the Winter and I found that starting them every week or two and giving them a good run up and maybe cycling the...

StangNet.com is 10 years old this month!

I'm one of the original members, I had to recreate my account a long while back but yeah I remember when Stangnet launched, I was on the Corral and then it wasn't long before I was over here all the time. Thanks and congrats guys!

Aux Imput for 2005 Shaker 500

Yeah I'd probably agree with this. I use an aftermarket aux input and while it works OK I've lost a few bits of functionality and the company (PIE) refuses to fix the f'n thing. Don't deal with PIE IMO. They don't answer support requests and they delete any kinds of posts on their support...

    Water Mark Removal

I'd try a clay bar. Might be easier to try one of the spray detailers, it's worked well on spots for me before. I typically use the TurtleWax ICE detailer or Meguiars.
