    Firing problems on my 302.

 well timing is the easiest to verify, and you can see if it is advancing when you give it gas.......... vacuum leak, maybe  plug everything that isn't necessary to run the engine..................

    checking the vaccum

ok, back to square 1........... it ran before you messed with the carb???? maybe it is flooding did you try starting it with the gas pedal floored? no pumping, just keep it to the floor while cranking........ also is the choke closed???

    checking the vaccum

    Annoying blinker problem

from his original post "front blinker stays illuminated like the indicator and in the back nothing happens at all" so, the back light is not lit.......normally, the flasher would think that a bulb is burnt out and refuse to flash..................it was designed that way so that you'd know...

    Smoke and Carbon

an easy way to check for valve seal leaks: have someone drive behind you as you are going down a hill, keep it in gear take your foot off the gas......if the seals are bad, oil will be sucked into the pistons and your buddy will see the smoke coming out of the exhaust

please remember that the numbers you are refering to are: Pounds per square inch 10 psi on a 3 inch round piston will create 70 pounds of force.... 10 psi inside the pressure cooker creates ALOT of force this is starting to get into the serious area, and could get dangerous, not to...

there was a guy selling those when i was at carlise a couple years ago, he set up right outside the gate (guess he couldn't afford a site inside) it was pretty cool, but only meant for keeping dust off your car when it is in a garage, it won't stand up to uv light or being outside in general...
