    no both will penetrate but is is easier to see what you are doing less smoke and less cleanup after. The smaller wire in solid allows for more control

    As above it is day and night I use .023 and gas on my 180amp Hobart on the thin stuff and .03 on mid size and I thing .04 at the limit of the welder with solid core and switch to flux core for the real heavy stuff like 5/8 on multi pass welds

    I have 3.73 in the Bullitt and like them but I am with everyone else if I where making the change form 3.55 I would go 4.10 same cost more reaction form the seat of the pants dyno.

    Not the way the aftermarket ones are such as GW or TCP. That is what I assumed he was asking. But compaired to the 65-66 I guess they are adjustable. I changet to GW and never looked back.

    Stock ones are not. and too long for the 65-66 cars by several inches.

    All the above will help but changing the carpet will set you back about $100 and remove the largest surface area and will give you a chace to wash down the floor pan and air out the seats. JM.02 cents

    Sometimes the amp relay sticks and will Kill a battery in a couple of days or less.
