Hey, I've been in Iraq for a few months again, just wondering if anyone had a location on the net that goes in detail as far as parts list and specs for a 289 Hi Po. I want to built one exactly as they did back in the day...I left my books at the house in FL...I'm building a 67 T/A Coupe...

    I give up!!

I just startd my 67 about 5 months ago, so it's still fresh in my minute brain...I bought an oil-less 33 gal. air compressor. Go bigger, and DON'T go oilless. Way too loud. Check Lowe's compressors. Buy quality air hoses and fittings. I'm not knocking SEARS, but I had TERRIBLE luck with...

    overheating

I'd try a 180 thermostat, got one in my 67 in the nice muggy FL humidity, worked well.... Then, do you have a fan shroud? Also, why is the condensor in FRONT of the radiator? Try relocating it and see if it helps. Just suggestions.

    Body dipping

I am by NO means a professional at this, but talk to people who are. They say to stay away from the dipping, as it can and will eat EVERYTHING away. Supposedly it can weaken or fatigue sheetmetal. Also hear it has a tendency to drip or Ooze out of crevices and foul up newly applied paint. I...

    351C in a 68, help

Bro, I put a 70 351C (4bbl-2V) into my 67. It wasn't that difficult, but, the pains came to haunt me later. Such as, suspension (front end was too heavy-it handled like dookie), I slammed my oil pan ever so lightly on a small rockl, and it left a gouge in it, which later opened and leaked ALL...

eleanor..no longer really impressed..just my opinion

I wonder if C. Shelby actually ever had anything to do w/ that car. I think they threw him a jackload of cash to endorse "E" in order for the "builders" to slap on a $200,000 price tag on a car that "is a certified Shelby GT500E", just to capitalize and make some fast money....Just a...

    Pics of my '67 390

Darren390, what part of the UK you live in? I was stationed near Cambridge. I thought shipping sucked where I live (FL), I bet getting parts over there is a beeotch!

    Replacing floor pans

Another tip, when you cut your seat tray out, put the new pan in place, trace around it. Gives you a guide as where to cut. Then, techniques run amock. I cut about 1/2" inside the trace line. Then, I punches holes every 1 1/2" to 2 inches for spot welds. Then, on the seams, go and run spots...

    Taking off underside coating

I used one of those hand held torches used for plumbing, and a 1 inch steel scraper. Just pass the torch over a small area (say 6"x6") for a few seconds, then use the scraper. Comes off like butter. I had the 67 gutted, and there'sa ton of it inside and out. The wheel well cleaned up REAL...

POR15 trunk project delayed! Need some help!

For the poor man, I had one of those hand held "torches" used for plumbing. Use that to quickly heat up the undercoating (just pass over the area you want to remove) and run a 1" scraper over it. Works like a champ. DId my entire coupe in just under 6 hours. With 1 bottle of fuel. It comes...

    ?s On 67 Radiator Support

Hey, my radiator support doesn't NEED to be replaced, but, you know how it it, "While I'm in there..." I was watching American Hot Rod, about the 65/66 fastback they redid. I saw that they bolted in the radiator support, instead of welding. Is this feasible? Does the support do anything for...
