    help, car is running like crap after 1.7 roller rocker install

    you use pedestal shims to adjust the "non-adjustable" pedestal rockers., they usually come with the set of pedestal mount rockers. if not order a set from crane or ford. if evrything is hooked up correctly, sounds like a valve is being held open.

    i used 255/35 with +24mm, no probs on my 90gt, but the guy i sold it to had a 92gt rubbed slightly on the a arms

    What the widest tire....

    i have had 245/50's and 245/45 on pony's, 45's rubbed so little that 1/8 spacers took care of it, but ran without the spacers later on, since it really was more an irritant than anything.

    18 inch wheels on an 88?

    had 18x9s on my 87 lx and my 90 gt, 245/40s and 255/35s, no prob with either, the lx needed +18mm and the gt used +24mm. just get the correct offset for YOUR car. all stang differ alittle.

    yup 70mm opening, they are probably getting confused since it came with a 65mm THROTTLE BODY, maybe they dont know the difference, lol j/k

    Edelbrock 60379's + crane 2031 cam + 1.7 cobra rockers = piston notching/flycutting?

    yup every motor is different, but that exact combo cleared fine on my 90 shortblock straight up, didnt try advancing it any, but it looks like it should be ok there also.

    2005 stangs yup, I wasnt a big fan of the 2005's, but with so many flavors at SEMA, anyone would be sure to find one to like. BTW, did anyone see the V8 Focus on the test track? what was powering it? sounded pretty BIG to me.I took a bunch of pics also, I can email some to, but I'm on dial-up...

    any1 saw the SVT V8 Focus at SEMA ?

    I assume it was a V8, but it could have been bigger, It had the best response out at the "test track" but no one could handle the power. It was easily faster than the 2005 Mustang, Lightning, Skyline, or anything else there. What kind of engine did it have?

    noit sure what exact equipment you have, but if your wheels have the correct offsets you shouldnt have much of a problem. but to late now, sounds like you just have to put the stock springs back or get the correct wheels. i ran 255/35x18's front and rear with 9" +24mm and had no rubbing befor...

    advance or retard the cam?

    did you dial in the cam in the first place so you know where you are starting at? "straight up" doesnt always mean 0*, if so i would never recommend retarding a cam, i would how ever recommend advancing it 2-4* depending on clearance.

    yes, most people are riding on the differentail bump stop, and dont even know it, they just see the stops at the end of the axel and think its fine. i have done over 20 spring intsalls and only 2 or 3 werent riding on their stops, but hit them very easily by just bouncing on the rear.

    Low dyno numbers from a built 5.0...

    funny, the cam in my cobra was the same as my other mustang? hmmm...? oh well The Cobra cam is slightly different. A little less duration (208-209) and a little more lift (.451 w/ 1.6s).
