    does it sound like it is bottom end? Or is it possible it is in the head area? It could even be an accessory bearing on the front of the motor.

    could be a rod bearing, main bearing or wrist pin if it sounds like it is from the bottom end. Does it knock at idle, during acceleration or decleration?

    the 310 was with a 65mm throttle body and windsor Jr heads, I got the heads used so I don't know if any work was done to them but they looked pretty stock to me. Honestly I am not positive on the cam, may have been the FMS B cam.

    BTW I know there are different calculators out there and they will vary quite a bit as well.

    unfortunatly I am deployed right now and my dyno sheets aren't with me. I will concede that there are definitly variations on dynos, even same brand dyno side by side will vary considerably. All I can give you is track times, it ran 11.1 @ 135 mph in the quarter at 3350lbs on a slipping clutch...

    yup, n/a on a chassis dyno. It made 310 before the heads and cam and throttle body swap.

    chassis dyno. but I did have a bigger spring in the wastegate and the high pull was at about 15 psi, I do have it detuned a little with a smaller spring at 11 psi.

    not exactly low compression....9.5-1. I built the motor for power then added the turbo after that.

    well the stage 3 cnc ported tw heads certainly helped as well as the comp cam and systemax intake. The motor made 380 hp n/a.

    yeah, I check out the turbo forums there too. but I have always come back to the stangnet! Those turbo guys really know what they are talking about. They have a huge amount of information and I am just getting into the whole turbo thing.
