    C4 Transmission -- I think I screwed the pouch

There is not an add on to the C4; it only has three forward gears. The AOD IS the different transmission; 4 speed auto. The OD will help on the highway and while cruising; the RPM's will drop due to the tranny OD gearing. As for fitament, maybe someone more educated can chime in...

    C4 Transmission -- I think I screwed the pouch

AOD = Automatic OverDrive If you drive a lot of highway miles it is a good option, but once you start adding too much HP it quickly becomes an 'expensive' tranny to race w/. But, keep it w/in reason and you're OK IMO.

Taurus fan install(in the process of)

That's good news! Once the motor is replaced, it'll be better news :D Once the new fan is on, check battery voltage at idle and when the fan is on. You might be borderline on the 3g alternator upgrade. When a fan goes like yours did/doing it takes voltage and current to do it, so you...

    Fuel Pump in modified motors

I like the electric pumps myself; the holley or even the summit brand are good. I know some ppl may like mechanical pumps and they are less expensive, but the summit pump took me to mid 11's NA w/no problems...

    electric fan

You should be fine w/the stock alt. As to your wiring of the relay... sorry I'm not familiar w/the number system you described. I know the standard bosch numbering (85,86,87,&30)... easy enough to help if you really need it tho.

Taurus fan install(in the process of)

The 89-95 Taurus w/the 3.8L will work. Also, the SN95 fan works, but draws a little more juice than the taurus. Remember the fans will pull more current on start up than while running. Even then, I think the charging system needs to be upgraded, ie alternator and wiring. The 3g alternator...

    electric fan

One more thing: wire the switch thru the relay NOT directly to the fan. If you wired it to the fan and the current rating is not w/in parameters.... watch out. Do you know how to wire the relay?

    6 point cage

IMO, the seats & carpet should be removed for the bar install. If it is being TIG welded then the headliner can stay and be covered w/alum foil where welding will be close to it. If it is MIG welded I'd use a different technique to weld it in place so as not to remove the liner, but I'd remove...

Taurus fan install(in the process of)

That is a very nice install of the fan and I like the radiator mounting brackets. Hope you don't mind, but I'm borrowing your ideas; imitation is the best form of flattery :D Man that install is sweet! The only difference between the Taurus fan and the might might Mark VIII is fan shroud...

    Will 28x9x14 MT's fit on 65/66 Mustang's?

After reading the responses nobody said if they would fit; I would like to know if they'd fit or not  . I'd prefer the 29x11.5x15 tire, but think I'd be pushing my luck w/fitament. Will the 28x11.5x15 fit or do I need to 'massage' body panels?

    Will 28x9x14 MT's fit on 65/66 Mustang's?

WashMO66, car looks REALLY good on launch. What are you using for rear suspension? Does the car have a slight lean or is it me?

    electric fan

That's a loaded question. Just to power it on you do have nothing to lose, but if you want to put it on your car then IMO you could have a lot to lose if it can't cool your car properly. If you want to see if it works you can hook it up straight to the battery and watch your fingers...

    MSD!!!

You mean you can start your car w/only 8V?!?!?! I can't even get my starter to crank over :p six_5, is your car stock or ???? You can obviously spend a lot on ignition and all items may not be applicable to your needs.

    408 Stroker Motor Build

I agree. Although it's easiest to reverse engineer a product, IMO it's one of the shadiest ways. They spent no time designing, crunching numbers, or testing they only stole they idea and want to reap the rewards.

    MSD!!!

Billet dizzy, digital 6, and blaster coil. Never have had any problems w/my MSD stuf... thought I did once and when I called for an RMA I told them I needed it back quick. They exchanged it for a new one and it was in my grubby hands w/in a week. Turns out I was using an intermittent...

    408 Stroker Motor Build

That & the air gap reaches it's peak around his shift point. The vic jr needs more RPM before it shows who is king between the two. Besides, the air gap needs more carb than the jr does, which could explain some of the hp increase.

girdles = band-aid fix If you keep the power at 550-600hp and keep the revs low you'll be OK.

    5000 to spend need help

Only problem w/the 3550 it has to be used or maybe a dealer has one laying around; TTC quit making them. http://www.ttcautomotive.com/English/products/TR-3550.asp

engine building? Hp or torque for the street...

That seems like a no brainer; 500hp would be WAY more fun than 350hp :D IMO there is no substitute for cubic inch, yes size matters. Why going w/such a wimpy cam? I'd just opt for a good cam, ie one that mathces well w/the combo to take advantage of the increased cubes. Maybe a custom cam...

    5000 to spend need help

 No that t5 will grenade itself at some point; maybe when you're just putting along and not beating on it. It will fail quicker when you put some sticky tires to it. I'd upgrade tranny's... might as well follow what s car go suggested. How do you know the motor is tired: have you done...
