    Strange starting issue

That makes sense, but I believe the pressure is good and the lines are clean. I tested the prime pressure and hold pressure before pulling the old motor a few weeks ago. Every part of the fuel system is brand new except the rails and lines. The timing is at 10° base. The grounds are all new...

Ok, I've about had it with this

I've always been able to fix that with a new IAC and/or opening the TB set screw a bit more. On my wife's 93 GT, it was a new IAC. On my 95, the 347 idles just fine after it starts warm or cold, but only after I put another turn or so on the TB set screw. It will hunt very slightly, but only...

    Strange starting issue

Got the new motor started up yesterday so I'm pretty damn happy. I runs really nicely. It's all stock except the 347 (long story). It has a solid idle and drives as smooth as can be, better than stock actually. There is one issue that baffles me though. It will NOT start on the first...

    Bad T.O.B.??

The bearing rides back and forth on a linear shaft, but is attacked to an arm. It's meant to shift and pitch a little to keep it from binding.

    Engine swap!

Awesome man! Pretty quick swap too. I think mine will have taken about the same amount of total time, but I had an extra set of hands helping me out. I can only hope mine starts up like yours :)

Which 28oz balancer for our cars?

I'm fine with with Pro Products one. The build quality is clearly better than stock at least. This isn't an extreme engine. If the builder provided it, I'll trust his judgement. Anyway, problem solved. I went to the builder today and he said I just needed a spacer which he had in stock...

Which 28oz balancer for our cars?

I just need to make sure it's the right depth and has the spacer for the pulley. Do you know what the pioneer part # is? Summit offers Saturday delivery from today, so I wonder if they'd carry the one I need.

Which 28oz balancer for our cars?

Yep, stock is 50oz, so don't worry. That one with the spacer looks like the one I need.

Which 28oz balancer for our cars?

I put on the balancer today and found that is was totally wrong. It's the Pro Products 80006 which is apparently for early model engines. My motor is balanced for a 28oz balancer, but I can't seem to find one that isn't hyper expensive. What reasonable options are there in 28oz for our cars?

    Oil pump driveshaft length?

I bit the bullet tonight and dropped the pan. My RTV job on the front and back kept the gasket stuck nicely to the block, so it was pretty much cake. Keep in mind, the engine is still on a stand. The ARP shaft fit just fine with the distributor afterall. I had to bottom the clip out against...

    Oil pump driveshaft length?

It seems to me, that one could strategically trim some side meat off the clip in such a way that it could be hammered through the opening. Once it's through, it should just splay out to it's original position. I'm sure it's made of spring steel, it's the only way it can hold itself on there so...

    Oil pump driveshaft length?

The distributor is a stock replacement, but it may still need to be trimmed. I wonder how far off it may end up? I hate to trim the distributor shaft and possibly throw it out of balance. I don't plan on doing anything crazy with this engine (stock heads, long story), so I might just use the...

    Oil pump driveshaft length?

I guess I could probably run it without the clip, but I'd probably have the luck of dropping the shaft into the pan in the process of pulling the distributor out in the future. I'm just gonna drop the pan and put it in properly

    Oil pump driveshaft length?

I'm thinking I screwed up and need to drop the oil pan to install this thing. I think it's upside down.

    Oil pump driveshaft length?

I dropped an ARP oil pump drive shaft into the block today and found it too short for some reason  I compared it to stock and it's the same length as stock. This is in an original-block 347 with a Melling M68 oil pump. Does this oil pump require a longer driveshaft?? It's just kind of...

    Aftermarket PCV separator/catch can?

Ughh, nevermind, I just searched "oil separator" and found it. I'm an idiot

    Aftermarket PCV separator/catch can?

I've seen plenty of the 'ol DIY oil separator PCV catch cans, but I wanted an aftermarket purpose-built one (no good reason, I just do). I could have sworn Summit had a bunch of pretty nice ones, not a year ago and now I can't find anything on their site but overflow cans. I know JLT sells...

I only wish my problem was that I got pushrod info every time I searched for something regarding my 2011 :(

    cylinder psi test

I think he's saying that when the timing light flashes, the degree marks aren't even visible under the pointer, but can only be seen way over to the right at 1 o-clock which would make the timing off like 30°. If your spout is out and your timing was off by that much, I don't see how it would...
