    Front springs

Yep, I'm with that. I'd imagine your front end would be sittin up a bit as well. Just curious, why are you going from a 428 to a 302?

    over heating help!

Ah, you'll probably have to do a little extra than the normal modded 302 due to it being bored over .040" I hear a lot about guys even with a 306 (.030) having a lot more trouble keeping it cool. Just an add on question I've been wondering and feel is relevant... Where do you guys with...

    over heating help!

Is it a stock radiator? Have you done anything to the engine? Many things you can do to fix an overheating problem. *New, thicker radiator *Lower Thermostat *Electric or flex fan with shroud *Check your timing *Water wetter *Better flowing waterpump

refurbish or replace stock 1965 radiator?

If you plan on anything more than a stock motor, it's a sure thing you're going to need a bigger than stock radiator. Bigger is the name of the game with radiators, so a small stock size with stock thickness isn't going to do it. Get atleast a nice 3 row brass or 2 row aluminum to save you...

    Sagging springs

Eek, the high front look isn't the look most go for :D You could cut coils, but if the front springs are old you may want to consider swapping them out for a pair of 620s. Have you done the shelby drop yet? This will also lower the front end about an inch. What leaf springs do you have on...

Restoration. . . "old school", or "newfangled"??

Combo of the two I say. Just do whatever you think looks/performs best. You can lower the car without putting a body kit on it or huge rims, it's alllll in personal taste.... Just make sure it goes fast :D

    Saw 6 Cobras Driving Downtown...

Years...I'm not too knowledgable on cobras, were there any exterior differences among them? Yea I doubt they were all original, I'm thinkin maybe the one with the numbers on it might have been? There are a lot of very rich people that vacation in this area though, so who knows, they...

    65 Mustang coolant sensor

A 180* stat is the middle range that a lot of people use. And as you said, don't trust the factory guages. When it starts puking coolant then you have an overheating problem.

'New car feel' - susp. question

If they are stock...there's no hope for recovery. Springs just get worn out, nothin can be done to fix em. The control arms could be alright...I've still got my stock ones in there, but according to the guy that aligned them, I might be needing to replace them in the next couple years...

Edelbrock Intake 7121 or 2121? + cam and carb?

The performer package produces a less powerful, lower RPM curve than the performer RPM. Better low end torque off idle, but for street/race I'd definately recommend Performer RPM out of the Edelbrock packages...the performer just won't give you the top end you'll want in the 1/4.

Should I let her drive my baby?

Heh, tough one. Two questions: 1. How far is her job from your place? 2. How busy of a parking lot/area is the place? (people opening their doors into it for example) I guess I'd drive around with her driving a few more times until I felt more comfortable.

Edelbrock Intake 7121 or 2121? + cam and carb?

A 700 will be too big for stock heads, you can always jet/tune a 600 for more power if needed. With the heads the 700 would be good. I'm not too sure what the part numbers are and am feeling kind of lazy to look em up, but I'm going to assume it's the RPM or RPM Air-Gap, in which case I'd...

    Saw 6 Cobras Driving Downtown...

Drivin to lunch today when I start to hear a loud rumble. Don't think much of it, there's a lot of big trucks around, when suddenly I see a cobra start to come towards. And another. And another. Six total, two blue with white stripes, one flat blue, two all black, and one was white. One of...

    common problems with 65 stangs?

    new alternator question

My final verdict would be... If your keeping it as is a 60 or 70 should be fine If your getting a bigger, more powerful stereo system, go with the 100 or more. I know for a fact that a 70 will not keep up with an amp, capacitator or not.

    Shift Kits

A shift kit reroutes fluid through the valvebody...or atleast I think it does. The effect is a faster, crisper shift. When driving your automatic you've probably noticed you can only slightly feel the tranny shift, if at all. The kit will make it faster, you'll definately know when your car...
