    Need some help fellas....whine noise after gear install

    Just had 4.30 gears installed in my 97 with no gear whine. I was told by the installer that the contact pattern has everything to do with gear whine. The installer on mine had a colored lube that he put on the gear to test the contact. The contact should be in the middle of the tooth depthwise...
