    Yes, I run 245x45 up front with the 275x40 out back, both on 17x8 rims. I have since my first tire change in 2001 with no problems. They do bulge slightly, but I like the look. From the side the profile is very close to the 245x45 but they look slightly "meatier" from the back.

    I think they look good on the Bullitt. I also think they look good on light colored cars (silver, white), but don't care for them on dark colors.

    The 96-98 Cobras have the "B" style splitport heads and the 99+ have the "C" style tumbleport heads. Performance was improved, but either would be a substantial (read night and day) improvement over a non-PI, convertible, automatic.

    Yeah, thanks for clearing that up. I meant the entire assembly and not specifically the chunk of iron, but it didn't read that way. No smaller than stock, but ultimately it'll depend on the amount of boost you plan on running and/or power you're making.

    Piston dish contributes to your compression ratio, smaller dish equals high CR, larger dish equals lower CR. Consensus seems to be that the stock block is safe to the neighborhood of 450HP.

    I've been running 275x40 on the back of my 2000 since the first tire change after I bought it brand new and haven't had any problems. The last two sets I've put on have been Fuzion ZRi and I couldn't be happier with the treadwear or hookup.

    If you want a beefy T45 replacement look into ProMotion Powertrain. They claim to have a T45 that will handle what you want to throw at it. Probably should have held out for some skin... ;)

    Sorry, I was assuming you were looking to drag race. I have no doubt they do just what you say, they're just not exactly 1/4 mile friendly.
