    midpipe questions

I was being a little generous with time on the two hour estimate, from the moment the jack touches the car until you let the car down. Experience does play a big part, as demonstrated by BooWFO.

    midpipe questions

It's not that big of a deal to switch back & forth, especially after you've done it a couple of times. After your first time, it will probably take a couple of hours to switch from one to the other.

Transmission Possibilities (What would you do?)

I have a 4R70W in my '99 with no problems from what I can tell, & 45K miles on it. After driving my friend's '00 Saleen I remembered how much I miss a 5-speed. Now its got me thinking about a swap. I like the convenience of my automatic, but its not particularly great. I have firmed up the...

    Which 13" rotors!?!??!?!

I am looking for high quality rotors as well, the SS rotors look pretty good, & are reasonably priced. I'd be interested to know if they are from the Powerslot manufacturer as well, or if anyone has any personal experience with the rotors. I only wish he offered slotted only rotors, cross...

Okay, how tough is a midpipe install?

Yeah, I spent probably 30% of the time just trying plug those (insert favorite expletive) back in. It took me holding the female end from above with an extension, and a buddy of mine pushing the male end from underneath the car to get the passenger side connected.:fuss:

Okay, how tough is a midpipe install?

I do have to say, although I would have preferred paying someone else to do it, the money I saved helped finance an aluminum driveshaft:nice:

Okay, how tough is a midpipe install?

If you have a connection to someone who can do it for you for a reasonable price, and have the extra money laying around, I would pay someone. I installed mine with a friend, and while it's not a difficult job, it can be a PITA, mainly with the header bolts on the passenger side and...

    Changing diff fluid

I used Purple RTV with yellow polka dots, then bought a gasket & put that over the rtv, then welded the differential cover on, and finally dipped the housing in melted platinum.....just to be safe.

    STOPLIGHT WITH A SKYLINE R32

R32's & R33's are very expensive as well, I saw an R33 for sale locally for $65K. I hear R34's are completely outrageous, going for no less than $80K - $90K.

DS vibration after installing MM LCA's...

I had your exact issue, and an aluminum DS cleared it up. The guy I talked to at the driveshaft shop, who is pretty experienced, said that aluminum is very forgiving for vibes, and he was right! Mine are gone!
