88 speed density misfire and bucking

I'm always skeptical about calling a miss a fuel problem. I've seen bad injectors before, but you could hear the engine tone change at idle. I've not heard of injectors chirping, to me that sounds like the belt in the video. I'd remove the belt and run the car and see if it still chirps.

    Splitter for Saleen front valence?

Yeah, i've seen pics. To be clear, i wasn't truly looking for a splitter. I always thought it would look good on a saleen front valence, but had never seen it, until now... But i'm starting to thing it's a one-off. I have a few other projects that have been sitting (RTX install and adj clutch...

    Splitter for Saleen front valence?

It does look rather simple, unfortunately i run out of patience when attempting projects like that. I'm more of research and wrenching type of guy. I can do a little metal fab, but i don't go much further when it comes to creative.

    Splitter for Saleen front valence?

I've seen those, but i'm a little picky about aesthetics and the carter one looks more functional, as if i was actually racing the car.

    Splitter for Saleen front valence?

Can't seem to find where this front splitter comes from. I've seen more extreme versions, but not this one. Any ideas? For the record, you only get a glimpse of it at the beginning of the video. So u can pause it at the start. And yes, I was watching fox wrapping videos... View...

Mustang5L5’s progress thread - Rear window fun

Regardless, it's still way cheaper. Some companies just gouge on the prices just because they can, i guess that is aeromotive and pertronix...

Mustang5L5’s progress thread - Rear window fun

That's a pretty solid price on the accufab, especially when the aeromotive is $250+.

    Electrical 1987 Map Light

We are talking about the flexible head map light in the center near the windshield, correct? When you say bought another unit, new or used? I fixed my map light by opening it up and adjusting the contacts and then using a soldering iron to re-melt the tabs back on. The little button is a...

Mustang5L5’s progress thread - Rear window fun

I can't help but think regulator too. 29psi just seems like a too consistent number to be much else. The fuel system isn't very complex and even if there were an injector problem the 190lph pump and the regulator should be able to compensate by dumping less fuel back in the tank. Any NA 302...

Mustang5L5’s progress thread - Rear window fun

I don't know all that much about leaking injectors, never had one (i have had a #39 stick, but tapping it with the back end of a screwdriver fixed that). If it were leaking, would it leak enough to never let it get past 29psi? I would think it would go past that, then bleed and if it was...

    Suspension Quad shocks

I think that's close, but from what i see we don't know the sole item responsible for causing it, but i'm not sure we have too many complaints of wheel hop with the quads in place. Which i'll assume is why they are on there, because they are the cure.

    Suspension Quad shocks

I genuinely think tires play a part in it. All season tires suck and are pretty much useless, i wouldn't be surprised if these didn't wheel hop. On the other hand summer high performance and especially competition style tires get warm and soft, then they struggle for grip. Wheel hop is...

    Suspension Quad shocks

In my experience i think there is a little more to it. On my old setup i preferred to run them, without them with Steeda heavy duty lowers with 3 piece bushings and nitto drag radials it still wheel hopped. Then i switched to BFG drad radials and it was better, but not totally right. I put them...

    Suspension Quad shocks

Quad shocks don't return to position after compression, I think they are more or less dampers than shocks. You could use whatever, i highly doubt you will know the difference.

Progress Thread 12th Owner: My '93 Notchback Restoration & Performance Build

Before The performer RPM and the RPMII intakes were available, my buddies shop's goto was extrude honed cobra intakes. I didn't think it could be done on a gt40 tubular upper though, just the lower which would most likely make it pointless in that case. Back in the day i ran a set of extrude...

1990 fox starts on starting fluid only

The first thing I would do is probably slap the fuel pump relay with something hard. They do get stuck in the on position. Free and probably should only take a few seconds.

Digital Tuning Going heads/cam/intake. Do I need a tune?

Look, the risk with not buying the correct cam when using oversized parts is that the powerband could land up being at high rpm. Which will be great running wide open throttle, but awful in traffic, parking lots and probably even getting the car out of the garage. There was a good chance your...

Digital Tuning Going heads/cam/intake. Do I need a tune?

There are a couple ways to look at it, some like to leave room for the future, I kinda prefer to make the best for the present. The best i've seen to date is 359rwhp on a stock 302, afr165s, rpmII intake 70mm tb (the rpmII won't take more than a 70mm without porting), custom cam 30lb injectors...

Digital Tuning Going heads/cam/intake. Do I need a tune?

Most know here i've seen it all run just fine no tune. I've even seen tunes make things worse and I don't believe NA there is much HP left on the table, so if you think it's being done for more power, most likely you are mistaken. With that said, 185cc heads are quite large for a NA 302 so is...
