Heading to the strip, advice needed

If I can interject on the helmet debate the only difference between a Snell Motorcycle and SA (Special Automotive) helmet is that the SA rating includes additional testing for fireproof certifications otherwise they should be the same. When I got my helmet (now I have two open and closed face)...

    2010 Auto...no burnout?

I would power brake never neutral shift that's not good for your car. I hope its an electronics issue, you could try and e-mailing a tuner and see if that's something they can take care of? Does the car feel fine otherwise?

    Mustang II popularity

I'm not going to lie I was one of the "brainwashed" types that automatically assumed the MII was a bad car. Partially it was due to the performance restrictions from fuel economy, safety, and emissions, part of it was from the styling which wasn't my cup of tea (though I have since found a few...

My mechanic said: just deal with it (brakes)

Absolutely, cross drilling weakens the rotor so when they heat cycle little tiny cracks can develop between the holes, with slotting that doesn't happen plus the it helps with outgassing and cleaning of the pads when you use them especially in wet conditions. But as others put it if you don't...

    2011 Saleen GT

Well nice thing is interior aside you can piece one together for a lot less then you can buy one. I can live with that, I'm not some serialized plate elitist :)

My mechanic said: just deal with it (brakes)

All the cars I have driven before had much better brakes then this one especially my 240sx with 300ZX brakes could stop on a dime and do it every day from 100+ repeatedly without any hint of fade (except from the tires :) ). Sometimes I wish I could say its a necessity because of all the track...

My mechanic said: just deal with it (brakes)

Stock Mustang GT brakes are inadequate for the car. Upgrading them is a great thing to do not just for performance but for safety. That said you may have glazed your brakes a little. Normally if I see that there's enough pad left to not warrant replacing and the system feels a little uneasy I...

    Rotrex supercharger

Back from the dead... does anyone know if this went anywhere? Did bigcat ever pull the trigger on this setup? I was reading up on the Koenigsegg and it reminded me of this thread. So far I have been pretty gung ho about going for an ATI Procharger but I remembered the Rotrex and its efficiency.

10' Stang, tire pressure sensors have to be changed with new tires? Help me decide?

You're welcome I'm just trying to figure out why Ford picked the banded sensor to the valve stem units that are more common. The banded units require both the strap and the sensor to function and can come apart with use.

10' Stang, tire pressure sensors have to be changed with new tires? Help me decide?

You shouldn't have to replace the sensors if you're switching tires. If you switch wheels you may have to buy the new bands ( for the correct wheel size ) to hold them in place. ALSO some places like American Muscle sell the tire pressure sensor reset remote so you can do that yourself...

    Just installed techco supercharger.

Leaving the sensor unhooked sounds a whole lot like your problem. Still you're also running the tune for a different supercharger. I know they are similar in theory but who is to say that a tune for the Techo wouldn't shut off the sensor and prevent your CEL issue? Also why use the KB over a...

    Brembo brakes worth it?

The way I see it you can never have enough brakes. Look at your location, turns, and hills you want the stopping power trust me the stock brakes aren't all that.

    Clutch Problems

Alright guys I think he learned his lesson... Grenading your drivetrain with 200 miles on the clock has to be pretty damn earth shattering. All I can say is that with the clutch/slave combo in these cars unless the job is done professionally (and even then) it is always recommended to replace...

what modds do i need to get my s197 to run 13.0s

UDP is underdrive pulleys but you probably knew this one :) CMCV = Charge Motion Control Valves an old gimmick as old as fuel injection has been around. Basically these are little butterfly valves that are placed within the intake manifold tract to regulate the amount of airflow for either...
