    Candles

Manufacturers put a coating on exhaust parts so they do not rust before they are installed. That coating burns off over a small period of time once they are installed and has a strange smell.

    Lightweight Driveshaft Recommendations?

When you get gears that low your next step should be to get a power adder such as a higher duration cam that will keep building power past the stock cam's max rpms. Then you can keep it in 1st and 2nd longer and no one will be going through the traps in 5th.

    Ford Hot Rod Cams

I've been reading up on cam swapping for a couple of days and it seems like a pretty straight forward job. CJ pony parts in Harrisburg, PA. will do the job with parts for about $1100. I like to save that labor cost and buy something else for my car.

    Strut Rod Nut?

He's talking about the nut not the bolt and it's going to have to be installed down once he gets it. If that still doesn't make sense go out to your car and see if you can get it off any other way.

    Strut Rod Nut?

If you are talking about that big nut in the center of the mount you are not going to be able to torque it down with a regular wrench and socket. The strut rod is going to turn continuiosly as soon as the plastic on the locking nut hits the strut rod threads. Unless you find a wrench that can go...

    Ford Hot Rod Cams

It does not cost double to change the springs. The special tools to change the cam are less than $300 and all you need to change the springs is a compression gauge and an air compressor. All the parts are $1177(with phase limiters) from Brenspeed compared to $659 for just the cam. You can get a...

What's max SAFE hp of stock 2010 GT w/ boost?

Vortech seems to be safer than a twin screw due to the fact that it doesn't produce as much low end torque. Also I believe that Roush doesn't put these high amount of boost twin screws on their cars from their factory is because they don't feel that they will be safe on a motor with cast rods...

    Ford Hot Rod Cams

What I meant to say before is not that you lose low end torque but that a higher duration(which gives that lopey sound) move the power range up therefore requires lower gears and a higher stall converter to get the engines rpms in it's new power range. Also I will point out that these cams with...

    Ford Hot Rod Cams

If you aren't losing low end torque and don t have to run 4.10s that means these new cams don't have as much duration which means not as much lope as the Hot Rods. They also only have only a slight increase in lift since they are nsr which means not a lot of power gain for the work. May I...
