NEW DYNO #'s! AND A FEW QUESTIONS

One reason everyone is changing is because everyone is on the 4.6L. If you have noticed everything being put on the cobras is now being put on 5.0L because 5.0's are dead(no new product minus bbk intake). I have the Pro-M 75mm cal for 30's and have no problem with maxing it out and pushing alot...

    Intake is to hot

After driving the car. I open the hood and watch out, the heat is to much. You can't touch the intake. The mech temp gauge stays at 180 maybe 190 on a hot day and around 200 with ac on. I have another 94 and is does the same. Is there away to cool it down?

NEW DYNO #'s! AND A FEW QUESTIONS

I was told the same thing by one tuner. Then I went to Fun Ford for a second opinion. The second tuner had no problem. As for maxing a MAF sensor out, I don't see it, that is the tuner. I ran stock then Pro-m no problems with ethier one.

Feels like I'm hitting a rev limiter

They have the same gap (set at 30). I found it hard to believe too. Ford Racing gave me the part number to get the Ford plugs but they are not made for performance, I guess. A guy on the Corral with a procharger told me to try the plugs because it cleared his up, so I figured $60 is worth a try...

Feels like I'm hitting a rev limiter

I love NGK. I put in the plugs, let the car idle(to warm up). I took it on a test drive and wow pulled to 6000rpms with no problem it would have went farther but I was alittle scared. I'll get brave enough soon. But my plugs were the problem thanks for the help.

big problem with heat and power loss

A tweecer will turn it off(that is what I used). A tuner can do it as well. It cost me around 30rwhp on the dyno with no other change. I had to turn it back on with the vortech b/c your better safe than sorry.

big problem with heat and power loss

The act sensor pulls to much timing when warm this is the reason for a tune or people which computers to 93 and under. If you have a na motor then turn it off and your problems go away. It took me 3 months to find this out. because I would lose about 3 tenths on the 1/8.

Feels like I'm hitting a rev limiter

thanks all try that it hit 421rwhp @ 4750 and we shut it off there because it hit the so called limiter there but with new dist, coil, plugs, and wires it moved to 5200. Would the tfi module affect that? I haven't replaced it.

Feels like I'm hitting a rev limiter

My stock tach is dead on. It it fine free reving or even part thottle. We found out it was losing spark on the dyno.

Feels like I'm hitting a rev limiter

At full throttle only at 5200 rpms it feels like hit a rev limiter. I have H/C/I with a vortech. Plugs are new gapped at 30(22c). I have new MSD distributor and coil and ford racing wire(also new).It is not fuel, its spark. Has anyone else had this problem?

    Stock Stang___H/C/I or Vortech ???

Get the Vortech first. If you still want more, add a intake or add it when you do the vortech and change injectors. When you blow gaskets then replace the heads but I would leave the cam alone. Just my 2 cent.

    5.0 vs 4.6

When ford changed the trans from a t-45 it lost power do to the trans taking more hp to move it. Dyno numbers mean nothing it is only a tool to tune with. He is talking about racing pt A to pt B. My friend has a 99 that runs 8.9's stock(w/ k&N) and others with a later model (02)who run 9.2-9.6...

    Overheating

The car started pushing coolant out of the overflow tank and did not suck it back in and overheat. We pressure tested to cooling system and it held pressure. There is no sign of coolant in oil or oil in coolant. The car is not skipping and it runs prefect. There are not any leaks on the motor...

best traction setup for the street/strip. what do you run?

I use the drag springs. They have a good daily driver ride (highway, curves, exc) and they really help you hook on the track.

Anyone using a Ford Racing Crate motor?

Right now its only 461 @ 4800 because we had to shut it down when the air/fuel went from 10.5 to 13.6:shock: at 4800. Like an idiot I didn't want to use to t-rex pump because I had a 255lph fuel pump. Boy was I wrong and right before fun ford to so I have to get a move on it.
