    Fed Ex was here today!

hmm.. Tokico advanced handling kit. I had not heard of it till now, and I thought I had come across all the options. Very curious to hear your impressions. Also, just curious, when you changed to the Roush springs, did you change the shocks as well?

I heard that, but I think its missleading. The IRS would have cost more in warentee. Plus, that is comparing the initial cost of a crap IRS to a very good solid rear axle. There is an IRS in the Cobra and most people dont like it. Ford went with the solid rear axle because... should I say...

    Booze Brothers Racing Mustang

yup, all very good points. I'm sold! Go get a 2010! (or an 09, I actually prefer the styling of the 09... on the outside)

    Booze Brothers Racing Mustang

I've not heard of them, but that does not mean a whole lot. 41k is a bit steep. You could get a bone stock 09 GT and add all that stuff to it yourself for much less. Stock 09 : 25k (dealers desparate to sell) Cold Air Intake and Tune (chip) : 700 Full Exhaust : 1-2k Rims : 1.5k flat black...

    I'm embarrassed

I love my solid rear axle. The Mustang gets a lot of crap for its ox cart rear end, but I applaud Ford for sticking to their guns. I have made the analogy before that Ford and the solid rear axle are like Porsche and the rear engine. There are, as I see it, three levels of understanding...

From Start till now - Pictures

nice!:nice: very clean. Just curious. Why would you want a 5.0 over a 4.6? I guess the older 4.6 engines were less powerful and had less performance options, so a modded 5.0 could make more power?

waxjob! Finally got the chance to wax today. I went to take pics, but a waxed alloy car in bright sunshine is damn near impossible to photograph. Maybe I will take a few more at twilight. I felt the cervini was too much of a distraction. The combination of an aftermarket grille...

    I'm embarrassed

the difference between hp and torque is a bit tricky. I would not say hp is just a mathematical formula, though I do know the formula your talking about. Technically, Torque is Force, and HP is Power. Power is Energy per unit time, (force * distance per second). So... if a piston creates so...

    Traction

effing brilliant stangdude, thanks for posting. Are you an engineer? I am currently finishing up a degree in Physics. I think Oh9 posed a great question that illustrates the difference between the theoretical and real worlds. Math is math, but when and why does math actually apply to the real...

Post pics of what you drove before your s197

good idea for a thread. My previous car: That is where my screen name came from. It was a diesel. (on a previous forum, silverdiesel was taken, so I figured I'd go with grey. I joined stangnet before I purchased the mustang, so I used the same old name.) That thing pumped out 150 ft-lbs...

It has not happened yet. I have the boomtubes, so anyone close enough to see the car, can hear the car as well. But, I have noticed that I am getting a lot more stares. I think people might be confused as to what it is. Not sure if I really like the grille yet, it is still growing on me...

    Glassback Install

is the CDC glassback the exact same thing as the Ford glass roof option available on 09 and up Mustangs? If not, what are the differences?

    Finally Figured it Out!!!

here ya go. Its a bit tricky, as you can see. I left the white background in one, and removed it in another. But when removed, you can see your stock wheel. The strategy when photoshopping wheels is to find a photo of another car, with the wheels, and merge the two photos. Rather...

    C.H.E. K-member brace w/ torque limiters..... WOW!!!!

thats no good. What was wrong that caused the transmission to be replaced? What do you mean by "binding up"? The transmission is binding? Or the brace is binding?

A Friend just got a GT500... how fast?? compare to Blown GT??

This might help: Edmunds: Project Mustang GT vs. Shelby GT500 - MustangBlog.com That article is a little controversial, some guys feel an established automotive journalism site like edmunds cannot come out and say a blown GT is better than a GT500. I would have thought it was, the article...
