    Driver Side headlight

I have set of from a 2000 GT. I replaced those with smoked and they are in decent shape. Let me know if interested.

    Nitrous..yay or nay?

I considered the nitrous route for awhile, but decided to go the KB route instead. Yeah, it's expensive but nitrous is not cheap either after all the extras you should have. And filling the bottle every so often costs money too. I don't have to worry about that now. I enjoy my KB, but...

Do you ever get sick of your 5-speed?

Never. Most of the cars I have owned have been sticks. Even my truck is a stick. That's my daily driver and my winter vehicle. My Mustang is the fun car. I just like driving a stick.

my car is sounding like a truck

I hate to agree with the previous poster, but you paid much more than you should have. I paid about $600 to have new gears installed in my 2000 and he replaced worn bearings also.

    Kenne Bell guys

I have a KB 1.7L at 9psi IC. I knew I'd not be able to live with 6psi for long, and trying to add the intercooler later did not sound like fun. Just go for the 9psi IC. I have had mine about 3 years now, and close to 9k miles on it since. It is not my DD, it's my fun car (in a convertible...

    supercharger

I have a 2000 GT (vert) with a KB 1.7 and 4.10s. Yeah, first gear is sort of useless now, but I'd not change my setup. My car had 48,000 miles at the install. I'd ask how well maintained your cars is, more than the actual mileage.

I decided on SLP (I think)

I love my SLP I's. I have no O/R pipe, but the SLP catted X. It is quite quiet at idle, but still sounds good. But stomp on it and it gets loud. But then I don't want to sound like every other Mustang out there either. :) I guess you either like the sound or you don't.

    Who is the oldest here?

Oldest? Hah, I am 51. From what I see I am now the oldest who has posted. :)

    What sized nut

    That's the part I remember too. :)

    What sized nut

fit the stock Mustang 2v exhaust manifold on the passenger side? I put on an SLP x-pipe last year and I noticed many months later an exhaust leak. Turns out one of the nuts is missing. It's a bear getting up there to see anything so I was hoping someone could tell me what size to use...

    Opinions Wanted: Which mod?

    Do gears. 3.73s or 4.10s. I love my 4.10s.

    Exhaust help

Installing a cat-back is fairly easy. Jack up the car in the rear and put it on jack stands. Have a friend handy to help. Unbolt the old one and bolt in the new one making sure the get the hangers in place. The hardest part sometimes is getting the hangers to go back into the rubber...

    Not again.

I agree, $1000 seems awfully high. I was not sure where to take mine so asked at a local speed shop. He sent me to a guy who does all the local street rodders here. My bearings were shot and I switched from the stock 3.27 to 4.10s for about $600 I think. Haven't had a problem. He told me...

    bbk cai

The only complaint I have for mine is it's up so far in the fender well it's hard to put the filter on and tighten the clamp. But I never have to worry about rain getting into it. Then again I try not to drive the Stang if I know it's going to rain. Hey, it's a vert so it's made for those...

Changing brake pads: Do you turn the rotors?

There is no reason to turn a rotor unless it's scored or the runout is over the limit. I almost never turn a rotor when I change pads. If you run your finger nail over the surface and it does not catch there is no bad scoring. Make sure to clean the surfaces after doing so as you could...

    How old is everyone???

I guess I am one of the old crew (the few of us there are so far). I am 50. But I still enjoy my 2000 GT vert. Had a 1971 Mach I many years ago.

    Supercharger Which one?

My kit was just about $5000 direct from KB. It's very complete and not too hard to install. Just read thru the directions a few times to make sure you understand everything and you have all the tools you will need. I did mine over a weekend with the help of one friend basically to set it...

    2000 GT Start Problems!!

I have a 2000 GT also. I had a similar problem. It had been starting and running well. One day I got home for a drive and went out later to start it and nothing. Not even enough to roll down the power windows. Took the battery down to the local Ford dealer and they ran a test. Told me it...

    Supercharger Which one?

I agree with the above. I have a KB 1.7L with 4.10s and have lots of fun. It's not a daily driver, but gets driven quite a bit. I have 6000 miles now with the KB with no issues. It's 9psi and intercooled. That's about the recommended limit for a stock block if you want it to last. I...
