    Inner tie rod

    Replaced my d/s inner tie rod today. Piece of cake. The roll pin is about 1/4 " long. I drilled it out and broke it loose with a 12" Crescent wrench.The NAPA replacement was tapped for a machine screw instead of a roll pin. $22 and a couple of hours. Removed the sway for access.     91' stang-turn signals wont work

    I had a wierd problem;my blinkers and a/c worked intermittently. Turns out the wide gray plug inside the steering column was not making good contact.Got a big zip tie and cinched that baby tight. Been working for several months now.HTH

    Just the outside;didn't even take 'em off the car. I used Turtle Wax polishing compound (red tub) and Armor-All liquid wax. If they're REALLY nasty try the coarse compound (green tub) first. Don't mix compounds on the same buff. Or try wetsanding with 1500 or 2000 grit paper. Good luck!!

    Nasty yellow h/l's??

    I spent about 15 minutes buffing mine out and they look almost as good as the new ones I put on my daughter's 91!! I used a polishing attachment on my electric drill and some fine polishing compound followed by a coat of wax. Incredible difference,maybe I can see at night now! :D

    Rack bushings

    I was concerned about vibration with the aluminum bushings. They we're also a bit more$$. While I was installing them I discovered my d/s inner tie rod has some slack in it. Advance has them for for $27. I'll replace my leaky line while I'm at it next weekend.

    Just replaced my mushy rubber rack bushings with Energy Suspensions urethane bits. Much improved feel!! Only $10.95 and about half an hour! :D

    He's already got a V-8!! Don't waste your $$ on the auto trans. Stick a 5 speed in it and you can decide if you want to drop a turbo motor in there(You will !) Slap some gt bars on it while you're at it!

    How much have you spent on your car??

    87 lx-$1200,Borla - free,tailpipe -$40,STB-$35, 5.o springs-free,K&N and PVC intake-$35, need to put on the $60 complete front brake setup I have and replace the leaky p/s lines! Spoiler,swaybars and bushings-$100. Oh and tires soon! $1470 so far! 35K miles since I bought it!

    Is my booster bad?

    You may need to replace the rubber lines. I've had this happen to a couple of cars. They look fine but swell up on the inside. If you open the bleeder the fluid will spurt out @ high pressure. This is because the fluid can't move freely thru the line.
