Bolt-on Performance : Best Bang for the Buck

What do you use the car for, that would help determine the best way to go for mods.

    The T45 is a .67 overdrive. The Mach 1's TR3650 has a .62 5th IIRC.

    2000 GT Turbo Tuning Question

Why rear mounted? You should just by a kit with everything in it such as Turbo Kits for Ford Mustangs And just FYI, you will not get anywhere near your hp numbers on just 6.5 psi. Plus un Japan, don't they do a lot of tuning? I am sure you could get the car on the rollers somewhere and just...

I feel like I'm getting bored of the mustang

If I am going to buy a different car, sorry to say but it won't be a cobra. The reason are the fact that they are sn95(similar to my body style) and are 7 years old now. They are cool and ya they make power but I would rather have a GT500 (used) for a tad more. Plus I don't care what my car will...

I feel like I'm getting bored of the mustang

I would not say I am getting bored of my car but more that I am bored with the power. I want something more exciting, as I still have just above a stock HP car. I might sell the stang though, for a 60's stang(4 spd), Boss 302, GT500 or a Z06(ls7) in the next year or so if I decide to not buy a...

Gosh Darn It...Wife is starting to get Mad Now!

I think with 315's the 18 inch rim is was causes problems. I have heard less problems with rubbing with the 17" rims in comparison. Could be the fact that you have a lowered car too, roll the fenders and go from there. You could always get some MM or Steeda adjustable LCA's and adjust the ride...

    Vortech or procharger

 All you have to do is run an oil catch can to solve your oil issue. Um your engine will not simply blow up because you have the pvc valve vented into the intake.

Weather seal gap? Need ideas on how to fix this issue

Looks like you are missing the rear door seal, that goes in the door jam area.

Since I'm new here a few questions and a picture of my car

My friend has a muffler shop so I can get what ever cat back/mufflers for a pretty good deal, but I still don't know what to pick either. He had some delta 40's that a customer did not want so i got them put on the car for $100. But I want a full really cat-back. He said he can make a custom...

    RPM's and max HP output

Spinning the Mach out to 6000 rpms you are still accelerating, and will continue too till you hit the rev limiter. But... As people have pointed out, you will not accelerate as fast as you were when you are on the torque uphill side rather then the down hill side. I plan to and will...

Since I'm new here a few questions and a picture of my car

Fixed it for you and I know the 4v and 2v sound different, but mainly it comes down to overall tone that i was trying to show that it will not sound like bad, unless you have a X pipe. That is where the raspyness comes from, here is another video, a 2v. YouTube - Loud Mustang GT-straight pipes...

Since I'm new here a few questions and a picture of my car

No offense but, they can either sound good or bad depending on car. Have you ever hear a straight piped mustang in person with an H pipe? Here is a clip or one, sounds better than flows IMO. YouTube - 1997 Mustang Cobra exhaust - stock H-pipe with straight pipes ...rumbly

    ROAD TRIP!

I wouldn't worry about it unless you have lapsed on maintenance issues. The furthest I ever drove my stang without stopping was 400 miles and it started to be uncomfortable for me, just keep that in mind too. You could always do it in parts as well, break up the trip which is what I would do...

    Post-cam job Valvetrain noise....help

I am not the top end guru here, but I am pretty sure you won't have to remove the lash adjusters again once they have been installed. IIRC the reason people presoak them is to help initial start up priming (could be wrong though, just a guess). As to degreeing the cams, here is a basic How...

    Traction Control Issue????

I guess i was a little wrong all these years, :( Thanks for posting though, now I know! SO basically you want the overall numbers to match? That makes sense to me, so Aspect ratio + rim = tire height to compare front and rear?
