    My biggest concern is just how long they'll stay white and how often I'll have to clean them. I guess if I'm bored one weekend, I'll give it a shot. Worst case scenario - I don't like it and have to get them sand blasted back to normal. I'm getting new wheels by next spring anyway.

    Just because you can get a used 5.0 for $500 doesn't mean he couldn't sell his recently rebuilt one for $1000. And I said "1 or 2 hundred" for the tranny. I'd be surprised if he could get $300 for an auto tranny unless it had been built. He could easily make $2-3k off the car...why else would...
