    Could you provide details regarding "falls on its face". Are the RPMs climbing slower, hesitating etc etc.? Stock 4.6's do not make a lot of power but should pull 3rd gear to over 100mph.

    You shouldnt need to tune anything. Just get exhaust made and it will run. The 5.4 is just a 4.6 with a longer stroke(block has a taller deck height) The tune for a Lightning engine wont work on a stock 5.4l. Remember the L's had a blower attached to them.

    Start by either replacing or swapping spark plugs. See if it follows the plug. Next swap coil packs, see if it follows the COP Last swap injectors, see if it follows the injector If it doenst follow any of the above components, you have some more severe issues going on..

    Top appears to be a ground but the bottom picture looks like a white cable. I'll check mine tonight when I get home but I do have a 01 so it may be different.

    Correct, I bet its a female. That connector goes onto a coil pack or of its in the front, its your temp sensor.

    You mean a connector for the COP(coil on pack)? That could be a massive problem. If those are connected correctly, your timing will be off.

    post pictures of the connectors. There arent many on the front of the mod engines. On the passenger side you'll have the below. MAF Air temp sensor crank sensor(going down into the time chain cover.) Whole bunch of connectors for the ac that is about it.

    What cams are in it? It sounds like it has a small set of low duration cams or it has a big miss. It definitely is pointing towards a tuning issue.

    umm what.....Sell it immediately. If all they did was splice the existing wiring harness, then thats the issue. You'd pretty much need a PCM and a wiring harness out of a v8 car. a v6 only has a 70mm MAF and it has different calibrations in the PCM.

    I'd look at a Chilton or Haynes manual. I can only find information for boosted/nitrous set ups specific to the piston manufacturer.

    I cant tell from the picture where the leak is occurring but that looks like its coming from the container for the fluid. The first thing I would check is to make sure you arent using normal power steering fluid. You need to use ATF(transmission fluid)
