    I didn't take the pinion out, so it's still set to where the factory put it. Had I removed the pinion I would have to redo everything.

    When I took the rear out I kept track of where each shim (two shims) was and kept them seperate so I couldn't mix them up. As long as I put it back together exactly like I took it apart with the same shim location & size everything SHOULD be as it was before I removed it. We'll see if I'm right...

    The sad thing about this is, I've done at least 6 other 5 lug conversions and never had this proglem, but all the other cars were manual transmissions. This cars auto shifter doesdn't show the correct gear location so I had in in gear instead of nuetral. Live and learn I guess.

    That's a vacuum line hose cluster. There are 4 or 5 lines in a bundle. I have the same problem and posted a question yesterday asking where I can buy one. Ford stopped making them, not made aftermarket, looks like you are going to have to find a used one just like I am.
