    Brake upgrade parts???

So since the 04 has IRS, it won't have the anti-moan brackets and things and I would need to get those from an a 94-95 or get the kit? I like that kit, but I will be need to get better rotors, as I am building a show car and just don't like the look of the plain Jane rotors. So really I...

    Brake upgrade parts???

Well it really wasn't in my plans a the moment, but I know someone that has a 04 cobra that he is parting out. From reading the 2 brake wesites I think I know what to get, but can someone confirm my list. I don't plan on using the rotors, but getting new ones instead, and I also take it that...

    Shock tower rust

Well if that is the case, in the end it will probably be cheaper to have a new front clip put on then replacing all those spots. So keep an eye out for a good donor car with a good front clip. Replacing the whole front clip will be easier and less time consuming than replacing those pieces...

    Shock tower rust

Well after those picts, other than a couple of holes it looks like a lot of surface rust. Although it is hard to tell without being there to prod around. Did you poke around with the screwdriver as I stated above? Does it feel solid? How is the rest of the car, floor pan, torque boxes etc...

    Happy birthday to me...

Just seeing this post, but it was wise removing the carpet. I had an vehicle that had a leak and it rained hard for a few days and didn't know the floor board was getting flooded. It took forever for the insulation to dry out even after I had remove it. I would show those picts to the...

    Shock tower rust

Take a flat blade screwdriver and peck around on those rust spots. It's not a great pict to tell from, but just from that pict it looks like surface rust. Best thing to do is get everything out of the way first. If the screwdriver goes through or flakes off pieces it will all need to be...

    welder and welding sheet metal

Thanks for all the help and comments guys. That's way over kill Trbofox, but if you already have one, might as well use it. An I might hit you up on some more ideas. I hadn't thought of that for some reason, it has been 10 years since doing any kind of body work, so it is all slowly...

    welder and welding sheet metal

For those that have done welding on the engine bay or any part of their mustang I have some questions and need some advice. 1. What welder did you use. Please don't tell me I have heard this is good or that I want actual hands on knowledge. Know the common answer will be a Hobart or Miller...

Where can I get one of these?

David, I have bought a repair kit at Pep Boys before, and I have seen them a Napa as well. It is usually 6' or so of the hard line and a variety of connectors, straight and elbows. It has been a few years, but that is were I got mine.

    Idiots on the road

Snow! I only wish it would be snow for the stupid drivers to come out here. I grew up in Missouri where we would have snow, ice, snow, ice on top of one another, so I have some experience driving in that. I worked for a propane company as a service tech for 6 years and had to get out no...

High idling when in neutral fully warmed up

They will here, or at least Napa and Advanced, I don't shop at Autozone so I am not sure. I am sure it depends on the store and the person helping. I have seen a Napa guy take a reader off the self and out of the packaging to help someone out. I have my own, just can't remember the place off...

    FOTY **PLEASE READ**

:jaw: I was gone in April so I never saw this, that is great, and disconcerting in the same instance. Defiantly need to get this figured out.

    FOTY **PLEASE READ**

I nominated Almostock back in March, because he had not won. Unfortunately, there were a lot of good cars in that month and he did not win, although it was close. It ended up in a tiebreaker betwenn DMAN302 and PurPony, which PurPony went on win. I am fairly sure FrankenStang is right on...

High idling when in neutral fully warmed up

Just take it to you local "trusted" auto parts store, most will check the codes for free, or you could buy a code reader for about 30 dollars. When owning these cars, they due come in very handy.

High idling when in neutral fully warmed up

Unless I missed something, she still has not checked the codes, so until then we are just guessing. The IAC was only cleaned. I have had problems with my car in the past, all be it surging idle, that I cleaned the IAC very well twice and had no effect. Replaced the IAC and problem fixed...

High idling when in neutral fully warmed up

    1. Have you checked codes yet? Just because the light isn't on doesn't mean there are no codes, check both Engine off and Engine on. 2. Have you went through the list I referenced? I don't want to just guess, because then you might be throwing parts at a problem and not fixing it. It...

High idling when in neutral fully warmed up

+1 I would check codes. An if you haven't done so check the useful tech treads, it is a sticky at the top of this forum. There is a Surging Idle check list that I would go through as many of the same things can cause a high idle. Or here is a direct link to it...

    Cruise Control (which one)????

Here is a brief description of the system operation, although sounds like you have that figured out. The Amp is under the dash on the drivers side, above the kick panel a ways. It is a black looking box and wires run a short distance out to the servo. Description and Operation The...
