    SN95 brake conversion question

It already has 4 wheel discs and I already gutted the PV and have an adjustable unit for the rears. I'm currently running an upgraded M/C with the stock booster.

    SN95 brake conversion question

I have the 96 spindles which I guess are different than the 95s and I'm wondering if the combination of that and the 95 control arms is going to make the track too wide for my current rack and pinion from flaming rivers.

    Tubular control arms and springs

I got a strut tower brace, and steel CC plates with spherical bushings. The K is a QA1 unit and it specifically says you cant use 1985 control arms and its an 85. 86 and up has to be cut to work and that seems cheap to me.

    K-member install

The alignment is mandatory anyways because I'm replacing the K-member, lower control arms, switching to coilovers, swapping to 96 spindles which change the track width, and installing a bumpsteer kit. I currently have CC plates with spherical bushings. I just thought it was rather weak that...

    K-member install

So I just threw the tubular K-member in and the instructions didnt say anything about lining everything up and I have some concerns. The holes are all slotted and there is a lot of movement so I can see that tubular K easily being installed cockeyed or something. Anyone discover this and what...

    Air/Fuel Gauge on Carb setup?????

Two would be better, but remember, you have a carburetor not 8 injectors so whatever is spraying out of the central carburetor should be getting evenly dispersed throughout the engine. So unless you have a serious engine problem or you unevenly tampered with the settings on the carb, ie...

    Brake Lights stuck on?

So the lights are stuck on but it blows the fuse also? That is strange. If its a ground problem it tends to blow the fuse or bulbs, not stay on. Those switches can be installed wrong and stay on depending on the design, but Id check the wiring.

    LABOR COSTS

Why cant you do it yourself? You just need a jack and some basic hand tools. Are those reinforcements welded in or bolt in. I've never done them but plan to, but it looks like you just pull up the carpet from inside and install them above the boxes from the inside. I'm a Master ASE tech and...

    Tubular control arms and springs

I guess from how the kits look, you reuse your stock struts on a coilover. I've never messed with coilovers and didnt plan to but I guess I have to. Just sucks because these kits dont really explain all this until you buy it and read the instructions and the fine print. I'm bolting the...

    Tubular control arms and springs

Question, all the lower control arms I see dont have any provision to load a spring or coilover setup so how do you install your springs with tubular control arms. I bought a K-member and it says I cant use my 85 stock control arms so I have to get the aftermarkets, but how do you load the...

    SN95 brake conversion question

I'm kinda doing everything at once here so bare with me. The question here is about the brakes. I have an 85 GT which currently sports 87+ up brakes and spindles. I just purchased the SN95 spindles and Im also installing a tubular K-member and 95+ lower control arms. I'm assuming the 95+...

    Anyone use Accufab midlengths before.

I had some mid length headers made by Accufab for my 460 but it fits horribly. I had to completely shave down my SFI bellhousing and beat the crap out of the header collector and Im not too happy. When I spoke to the salesman he said it would fit with my manual setup, but its not even close...

Torque specs and head gasket for 460

I was wondering if anyone here knew the torque specs and a good head gasket to use with aluminum heads on a 460. I just bought Procomp heads and cant dig up the info to install these things. I wasnt sure if a different head gasket should be used because I'm mating aluminum too iron.

    More guage questions

Thanks for the ohms answers though I dont think autometer makes a gauge in that range. As for the VSS, I figured someone on here would know because so many people run Tremecs. The TKO600 has an electrically and mechanically outlet for the speedo so I dont think I need a sensor. I just assumed...

    More guage questions

Ok guys, I have an 85 GT and I'm going to use all autometer guages but I have some questions. First question is, what is the ohm rating of the fuel level sender because there are several different fuel level guages, but the most popular seems to be the 0 to 90 ohms. Second question, I have a...
