Congrats man! What other kind of cars were there?

Yellow brick road to a great Suspension

the 620s will lower the front from stock, as will the shelby drop. Note: FROM STOCK! Many, if not most stang suspensions are so worn out they have probably dropped an inch from stock already. Standard eye rear springs will keep your rear at stock, mid-eye will lower an inch, and reverse eye...

Why did you decided to get a classic Mustang?

I definately wanted a muscle car for the sound and feeling. There is nothing more badass and cool sounding than an old V8. I think all classic muscle/pony cars have MUCH nicer body lines than just about anything out today. I ended up with a stang instead of a nova or camaro because I saw a...

    low end

It'll be a good start. Rear gears and a torque converter (if you have an auto) are what will really give you that back against the seat feeling, along with anything that will give you more torque.

    Wet feet!

I put in a "cowl repair kit" which is just a hollow plastic cylinder that bolts up into the vent area. Your just susposed to use caulking all over the thing and it will stop the leak for a while...but as pakrat said, it's just prolonging the inevitable. All the big mustang part vendors...

Camshaft Recommendation for somewhat performance 289

Considering the facts you want more low-end and already own a performer, which produces better low-end power, I'd go with a cam that matches the powerband of the intake, such as the edelbrock performer. The bigger the cam, the more top-end hp it will produce, and the worse it's street manners...

    Suspension help

Yep, a monte carlo bar and an export brace should keep the shock towers from moving. A monte carlo bar is basically a metal bar the bolts right in front of your shock towers, above the engine, to stiffen your chassis. Problem is, if yours are already pretty far apart, it might be tough to get...

How the frig does this dashpad come off?

well the dashPAD is just a pain because the sun has probably melted it into the dash over the years. I remember just pushing up on the two "overhangs" until those came kind of loose, then finally pulling it up. The dash actually roughly follows the shape of the dashpad so it has to slide come...

Why are the 73 302HP so low?

No one means to insult you, just a little joking around for the most part. 351, good. The stock pistons should be fine, it's psi that will really hurt em. There closest thing to a formula I could think of would be this. New exhaust, keep em side or however you want it, but make sure the...

    Need exhaust design help

Headers into crossover (custom H) and 2 flows right before the axle, bends over the axle into tailpipes is what I have, sounds great. Most people use an X pipe with straight thru mufflers and an H pipe with chambered mufflers. An X is apparantly good for a few more ponies, but it's quite a bit...

    Fan Shroud frustrations!!!!!!!!!

I had the same problem when I tried to put mine in... 17" flex-a-lite The fan shroud I got is a pos anyways though, like an inch thick. =\

Why are the 73 302HP so low?

Um, you want lower compression if you want to high run boost, but they need to be strong, forged pistons, not stockers. The stock pistons wouldn't stand 10 psi. Parts you want with a S/C...same as NA, you just need to make sure you can get plenty of fuel, you don't want to be running lean...

Why are the 73 302HP so low?

Well, few more questions, what are you going for? Strip or street car? Would be easier to make that power with a big cam and a single plane intake, but it's street manners would be less than likable. Are we talking engine HP or RWHP? The problem with leaving your bottom end stock is most...

    Poly or rubber and why?

Rubber gives a bit more, poly is pretty dense stuff. From what I've heard, use poly everywhere BUT the strut rods. This will give you a stiffer ride, but it will handle a bit better. Poly can cause the strut rods to snap I believe.

    Changin heads

roughly $800 to about $1300 for an assembled pair. Worth it if you have the money though. Junkyard stuff...you'lll probably get what you pay for. It's doubtful you'll find a pair of real nice heads at a junkyard that haven't already gotten taken.

    Changin heads

It might make a little difference...you might be able to feel it. Just like 70hp or so with the right combo :D

Man...long time no update... TILL TODAY

Well...if you eventually want the 351 in there, I'd think it would be easier to get the carb and wire it for EFI once you have the parts than to have to swap motors. That 393 sounds like a lot of fun.

    Alternator

What electronics do you have in the car? A one wire is much easier and could make finding any future electrical problems much easier.
