    Cleaned up the Exploder upper...

I bought mine off CL for $50 and it was already tapped for the ACT. Mine came off a car that had a minor fire under the hood, so it looked awful. I used aircraft stripper and a power washer - had it bare in no time. I also painted the lower and it's holding up great. I'd eventually would...

Drivetrain Increased axle noise with urethane control arms bushings?

I also have MM XD lowers and when first installed they transmitted a lot of gear noise and I was really worried about how loud it was. But after a few couple hundred miles they broke in and no more noise. The best suspension mod I made by far.

Need your opinions on my hood

Keep the stock hood - your car already has a simple, clean look. I see too many people throwing on too many exterior mods and it just starts to look cheesy. Especially where I live; there must be a competition on how much crap can be stuck on the exterior of a Cummins or Power Stroke. And...

    Reproduction Hood Insulation

I think it's all up to you where you want to spend your money. With my car, I want a clean, almost stock looking car with some tasteful mods and everything working like it did when new (I'm still working on that) so that limits my budget for performance mods at the moment. Anything I'm...

Thanks, I'm trying to get it that way. Seems like all I've been doing is fixing things from stupid previous owners and a little neglect. I happy now I have working third brake light, plate lights, and cargo light. Now I need to find a hatch lock actuator to finish it off.

Lookin' good! I like those valve covers a lot better. And the hood is even in Marhyde - making good progress.

    Gear change $1000! no way!

The guy who did mine is in Stanford and he does it for $150. He even installed new axle bearing and seals for no extra charge. He does it out of his home garage on the weekends. He's done countless 8.8 gears for my friends and never a problem for any of us.

    Refinish quarter window rubber

I refinished a set last year and there not holing up very well. The trim paint is lifting in places and cracking through and showing primer. Not happy after all the work I put into them and then installing. I gave up and ordered a Carlite driver's side window from the Ford dealer last week...

Who wants their car on a poster!?!?

Here's some I like from back when I had FR500s.

got a set of wheels today.. :)

From what I understand the first variant of the Pony R's had the same diameter and stock caps fit great. The later ones had a larger hole that only Pony R's center caps fit. I have the American Muscle 17" Pony wheels and theirs also accept stock caps (which is something I want to find for mine.)

    Score!

Hey at least it looks better than the T-birds from that time. Still no box-top tho ;)

Looks perfect, I love white Pony wheels. You even scored an earlier set that takes the OEM center caps - bonus!

    Progress Thread First Fox (Fairmont)

I actually discovered this car when I was selling my stock Pony wheels. When I met the guy, he was driving this Fairmont. I asked if he wanted to sell it and he said yes - Zack bought it the next day. This car is going to be great finished product. The overall theme is going to be as if Ford...

I think 17" Pony wheels would be a good fit for your car.

What are you excited about for your fox?

I'm excited about new Carlite quarter windows! Not excited about finding what's wrong with my cruise control - hasn't worked since installing the new motor.
