    The car (an 86 capri) when we had the vacuum line off the map sensor the car idle under 1000k and we could set mechanical idle but the idle goes up to 14-18k with the vacuum line connected. But the car runs smoother. I will check w/ the dvm when I get home. But can you see any reason for it...

    My last notch had a 347 from D&D in it. Sold the car because it was burning alot of oil and I didn't have money at the time to fix everything wrong with it. The motor was only supposed to have 10,000 miles on it.

    Check the TPS over and it was at 1.11 so I dialed it down to .90 then reset the battery. Now I have started her a few times and she is idleing at 1k and the vac is reading 13 Is that really low?? I have the B cam w/ 1.7s

    I am not sure but the car idles the same with the cable taken out or disconnected also the car idles correctly when I start her cold w/ computer reset but only for a few min till she is warm

    UPDATE: w/ the IAC unpluged and the idle screw completely in all the way towards the firewall the car idles at 1400, I just dont get this at all

    I have an 1 inch spacer so I don't know if the last owner did anything like that but I will look into it. What about the rockers if they where all too tight would it cause this??
