    Bullitt Dyno Results

Those numbers *do* seem low... especially from a Dynojet. Are you sure your Bullitt is running right? A/F seems damned rich for N/A (everywhere except between 3.25 & 4.25 PRM), which could cause the lower power. And how come your HP graph shows clearly LESS than 200 HP peak, but the...

Tri-Ax or Pro 5.0 Shifter advise

Both are good improvement over stock for feel and accuracy, but being that it is machined out of billet steel, the Pro-5.0 is a heavier duty piece and feels like it too. (Tri-ax is precise but made from aluminum.) You can put an assortment of handles (different lengths/shapes/angles) on...

The Tri-ax handle and the 3 bears.

Pro-5.0 shifter with Pro-5.0 shorty handle and stock grip here. 3 and 5 are a bit of a stretch, I agree... but the 1-2 is so fast with this config that it serves my purposes just fine. Virtually no lost time when leaping to 60 MPH on the street, which is better to shut people down early...

    Broke My Stang tonight . . .

I don't know how you could break your rear in a basically stock auto. The tranny will only shift so hard at factory spec. Maybe if you do a neutral drop from redline, but that is crazy/unnecessary anyway.

I Think My Clutch is Going Bad. It's Making Noises. Got Some ?'s.

So damned true. Getting anything close to satisfaction is a big PITA when so much goes wrong. Know when to hold 'em... when to fold 'em. That's the b|tch of it. It's why I feel for ya buddy. I been there. But you are starting with more to lose than I was.

I Think My Clutch is Going Bad. It's Making Noises. Got Some ?'s.

Well, I hope your luck gets much better and you can enjoy Fords again one way or another. They aren't all bad. I like this new ride. As for me, $21K out the door for loaded up fresh '04 Stang Premium bought in '03, with ABS/TC option, Bullitt rims (much lower interest this time). And they...

I Think My Clutch is Going Bad. It's Making Noises. Got Some ?'s.

Here are a few of the issues I had with that young SVT Focus (while we are venting) - Leaky cowl, floor filling up with inches of water in heavy rain (twice replaced) - Busted water pump (replaced) - Controls shorting out (replaced) - Warped plastic throttle body (replaced) - ECU going...

I Think My Clutch is Going Bad. It's Making Noises. Got Some ?'s.

Damn, I'm sorry to hear this. It sucks when a "Special Vehicle" has so many problems. IMO, part of the SVT package should be that it is built way tougher than it needs to be. I had an SVT Focus... OK, now that you have finished laughing, let me just say that my SVT Focus... Again with...

    Wish my Stang was faster

Of course you wish your car was faster. Doesn't everyone? You won't be satisfied until you have so much power you can't control it and wrap yourself around a tree. Your Stang isn't slow, you just choose to race other quick cars... ones that will give you some competition. We are also in...

04 police crown vic can WHIP on my 98

Hell yeah! Low first gear, and that was without the full lift kit and monster mudders I added later... after that, probably 2 HP to the wheels. :rlaugh: Here it is, mid modding: Still, it had high and low gearsets like any good 4x4. I could light up all 4 in low 1st and "rip...

Glad you aren't a wet blanket. I hate that you can get busted for "exhibition of speed". I think that is absolute nonsense. If I could go 0-60 in 4 seconds flat without ever breaking traction (I wish!), then what am I doing that is so crazy?... Belittling a fat obnoxious SUV with a single...

04 police crown vic can WHIP on my 98

Of course. These 99+ GT are fast factory cars for the money... damned fast. Fast and cheap. And then there is the Mach 1... Real damned quick for stock, and no power adder. Look at classic muscle car times straight out of the factory if you wanna see how we rate. Some of those things were...

My New Interior - Finally got pics!

Criticism? OK. Now you need to burn your nose again and finish it. ;) I don't like the beige parts. All should be black and red if you want it to look completed, IMO (except the guage faces). Then a touch of aluminum accent on controls might finish it off well. Black interiors in muscle...

04 police crown vic can WHIP on my 98

You have a 99+, so how the hell is that? You've got 'em on everything; hp, torque, mtx (for less driveline loss), handling and your aerodynamics can't be way worse either. You put in shorter gears, delete cats and you're at 150+ in overdrive. Those cars are boats. But they have...

    Dyno'd my 04' GT

Hmmm... I guess you need to get some of that K&N filter oil on your MAF wire to trick it into running more lean. Whatever... look on the bright side, you have more room to push a timing adjuster if it is going to run so rich like that. Must feel like a slug compared to your old Cobra...

    Replacement GT seats

I think these OEM headrests are only good for one thing: So people in the back seat have a harder time punching you in the back of the neck... after you smack their heads into the rear windshield too many times.

i have some dyno proof on k&n filters, ya know ya wanna see it!!!

I swear by the K&N filter because I put one on my car, and therefore, it must be good. But seriously, they do flow pretty good. I mainly put 'em on because I am too lazy to bother with changing paper every 10K miles or so. It's why I buy the good fully synthetic oil too...

    Drivin stangs in the winter

The main thing is to stay out of torque and be gentle with steering, throttle and brakes. I drove through the mountains on stock tires over packed snow for several hours lunking just off idle most of the time, tenderfooted the throttle and brakes. Crazy. Nerve racking... and damn my leg...
