    :nice: Love thy Muscle Car. You know it WANTS to be rode hard and put away wet. That's how I treated my very first V8 coupe (a '65 Pontiac LeMans, brother to the Goat), and it loved me for it. Lasted a long time too, and all my memories with it are fond.

    If anything, I'd think installing shorter gears should extend the life of your clutch a little. Less scrubbing required to get the car rolling from a stop. No matter. Some dealerships and Ford in general will sometimes place the blame on your mods just to escape liability. Be prepared for that.

    You cannot break the Pro-5.0, and it shifts the Tremec as good as it can be shifted. 'Nuff said.

    Maybe I'm crazy, but I think high performance Fords need to be beaten in, not broke in. Of the SVT/GT's I've owned, the ones that gave the most troubles the soonest were babied like I wanted to keep 'em forever. But now I have to ask myself, "why bother? they ain't worth 2 nickels at the end...

    Official Tremec 3650 Issues Thread

    '04 GT here I noticed some resistance in the 1-2 shift the first week and it was hardly chilly. 2-3 took a little hunting sometimes too, and so I had Pro-5.0 installed immediately. Now 1-2 is not the least bit of trouble even on very cold days. 2-3 shift is dead-on accurate every time...
