    Painting Engine

When painting the engine, do I Primer it first? I have the Hi-temp paint - and the Pre-paint cleaner... Just havent found anything related to prepping the engine.... My major thought to why the answer is no - I have not found any "Hi-Temp" primer... ;) Just thought I'd check here with all...

    Prepping, Rust Conversion, Sanding, ????

I was also just reading up on Por-15 --- Another site, said this... Clean engine bay with pressure washer, then lightly sand all areas of the bay, sand more in "bad rust spots" to remove old bubbled rust. Paint on Por-15 (2 coates) then lightly sand till smooth and then seal & primer -...

    Prepping, Rust Conversion, Sanding, ????

Im in the process redoing my engine bay.... Well after getting the engine out, I got a better look at the bay itself. I see from where the PO did his terrible paint job, there are "rough" spots. I can only guess that is surface rust... So I sanded a small area down and sure enough, the metal...

Rim for my Daily Driver (Never Made it) PICs

Well I bought some rims for my daily driver (Mazda 6) --Since I didnt have the lugs for them yet, I figured I'd check them out on my stang. Over all they look pretty good - but still to skinny for my taste on a stang. And a little too large up front. Just thought I'd share. They are 18x7...

    Engine update!

I did my first engine pull recently and i was a one man show. Came out really easy - I chose to do the tranny and engine all in 1 pull. After everything was unbolted, it took about 30 mins to pull it all out. Pump a little, check for clearance, pump a little, move hoist, check for clearance...

    FMX shift kit pictures

For attempting that route in the past - yes you can hook up any shifter to a FMX with some fab work. The only difference between the FMX and C4 or C6 hoook up is it is reversed. There is a guy on this board that showed some pics of how it was done to his car (Previous Owner did it for him)...

    Shelby fiberglass hood

I have the fiberglass shelby hood, and it is of pretty good quality. Im sure once I primer it, I'll need some slight sanding to smooth it all out, but over all it is a high quality piece, and fits perfectly. Sorry I cant help out with a vendor, I purchased it used from a friend. But I can...

    Engine pull was successful

Well my first engine pull was actually a piece of cake - I had to rent a truck and a hoist to do the work, but was pretty cheap. I decided to do as much of the pull by myself which ended up being the whole job. It was pretty easy. I pulled the engine and tranny together in the driveway...
