    I had bought a new regular one and yes it failed after a few months, i bought it when i got the starter, figured i'd just replace both at once. I have seen people on here say that sometimes a bad starter or bad wire will pull too much current causing them to stick.

    Same thing happened to mine a week ago, i had already replaced a bad starter months ago, replaced the solenoid with the Red one from Autozone and the problems gone.

    I had one stuck on a different vehicle, smacking on one side then the other with a hammer got it loose. Just so we're clear, i hit the face of the drum, not from the rear.

    The balancer i just got yesterday from 50resto.com is a remanufactured Ford part, I also got the MAC underdrive pulleys which came with the rounded allen head bolts because as mentioned above you can't fit a socket around the original bolt heads. Otherwise everything bolts in just fine.

    I went with the balancer from 50resto.com it was recommended as being pretty decent by a few people so i chose it. Yes the hose is new, the clamps are the ones that were on there before.

    I can vouch for that, i stripped out the crank with a ratchet once on another car, i should have banged the balancer on instead i tried to pull it on with the bolt. :(

    Neither do i, but it stays alot warmer down here than up there in Alachua, i'm from Fort White btw ;) and i visit my Parents up there often. btw, if you ever need a heater just remove the shifter boot, that whole center console gets nice and warm :nice:
