    Breather cap question

When we get into boost my expertise begins to wane! However, keeping the PCV system with the check valve seems like a great and logical choice to me. Is this check valve similar to a blow out valve where if the pressure exceeds a given amount it vents to the outside? Tim

    #24 injectors??

Yeah, I really like the clutch. It's got a rather stiff pedal, and if I'm sitting in traffic for a long time where I'm sitting more than I'm driving I put the car in neutral. I've definitely no complaints! :D Tim

    Breather cap question

You can get twist in caps like the cap I posed earlier in the FRPP catalog to fit your 60's era valve covers. Contrary to what others may say (I've run open breathers and closed and stopped after learning how exactly the PCV system is set up and works) you cannot use a PCV valve and the open...

    Is the IAT really needed?

As most others have said you NEED the IAT as the IAT sensor provides a critical piece of information for the computer to calculate the air fuel ratio (and we all know how sensitive our SN95 computers are from the get go and how they like to ping). And do not move the IAT to the lower intake...

    #24 injectors??

I'd put the 24#s in. You're nearing the peg out point for the stockers (if they're still running correctly at full capacity), and a little bit of insurance would be nice (never shortcut fuel delivery or cooling). You don't want to put a lot of work into the engine only to destroy it with...

    Breather cap question

If the TFS oil spout didn't work for you, check out the FRPP cap that I listed below. I have a number of people I know running them with great results. As I said earlier, I used to be a breather cap man and I got lucky because my PCV filter was almost completely clogged which is why I didn't...

    Breather cap question

It's not the best for the motor, but as I said in the very long post you won't have crankcase overpressure problems. The only problem for you with straight breather caps is that you aren't ridding the crankcase of the corrosive vapor build up, only relieving pressure. Even under boost, the...

    Breather cap question

If you are concerned about the TFS oil fill neck try subsituting the oil fill neck (which I velieve is a push in neck) with this oil fill cap from Ford Racing. This cap is a push in cap, is for a closed PCV system, has the port to connect the tube to the TB or the CAI, and has a built in...

    Breather cap question

Below is how the PCV system works and why it's bad to run an open breather cap on a closed crankcase. I used a FRPP open breather cap because I had oil coming out of some gaskets. The cap solved the crankcase pressure, but was a big vacuum leak. I changed back to a closed cap and put new PCV...

Ford Racing Valve Covers and EFI

If both caps are for a closed crankcase you're good to go. Just connect the tube from the throttle body to the port on the oil filler cap and you're PCV system is still fully functional. While you're at it, you may want to replace the PCV valve, PCV filter, and PCV grommet if you haven't done...

Ford Racing Valve Covers and EFI

Do NOT delete the PCV system and run breathers as it's not as efficient as the PCV system at evacuating the crankcase of corrosive vapors. Running straight breathers is also a passive system that only equalized crankcase pressure and doesn't evacuate the crankcase like the POSITIVE crankcase...

    explorer intake

GT40 family is the better intake for street cars. I disagree with the comment that Explorer intakes suck as all of the intake shootouts in the magazines on N\A 302s always show the GT40 family near the top with the Edelbrock performer with a hare more HP up top (and the GT40 at the top with...

    explorer intake

If you have an SN95 you can't use the explorer TB even if you do get the proper SN95 specific elbow adapter. The Fox mustangs can't use the explorer TB either unless they do some fabrication in order to reverse where the TB cable hooks up. Use an SN95 specific elbow and throttle body and...

I heard about this a couple of years ago on 60 minutes or dateline etc....seems it was a problem with older ford trucks.

How the hell do you get the @#$%ing fuel pump out!!???

One more suggestion, since you've already dropped the tank, you should replace the rubber fuel neck seal grommet on the side of the tank with a new one as they have a tendency to dry rot and crack. No sense in dropping the tank twice! Tim

How the hell do you get the @#$%ing fuel pump out!!???

As White Devil stated, you'll need the fuel line disconnect tools (they can be a PITA). Then you'll have to slide the tank to the left in order to get the fuel tank off of thr filler neck. Then you'll need to get a screw driver and hammer or a similar tool in order to rotate the lock ring...

 DOH! RTV is one of those things I always have so I guess I took it for granted with the gasket install! I however must disagree with you about the RTV instead of the blue gaskets, it is the cork gaskets that really suck IMO as they always leak. I only ever use the blue silicon gaskets...
