    I remember the HPBook "How to Rebuild a Small Block Ford" saying that their about 50 pounds each. Now, their heavy, but i dunno if their THAT heavy. maby 35-40 pounds. oh, thats cast 289 heads.

    yea, i got an orginal one.. i got a pic of the switch.. anyone know how "rare" these were? its a little to the right of the ignition, under the neat-o ash tray door.

    how to remove a 289 flex plate?

    hmm.. i used the 300 pound 6ft guy with a 24" brakers bar and a 175 pound 5'10foot guy oulling the other way with the crank damper bolt. we barely got it off and we were pulling hard. i think my dad almost went into cardiac arrest.

    yes, you can fit either a 351W or a 351C head on a 289/302. for the 351W heads all u need a special bolt that some company makes.. because the 289s/302 use a 1/2" bolt and the 351 uses a 5/8".keep in mind you compression will drop about .6:1 the 351C is MUCH MUCH more envolved and i...
