    sounds like a bad spot in the flywheel or the starter "bendix" gear stripping out (the bendix is the gear on the starter that engages the flywheel)...sounds like thats what you heard...can't be too sure without hearing it myself though... Josh

    i think my TB is bad. i ordered a 70mm today. my Stang CONSTANTLY idles at 1,000 RPM. i have set the base idle (twice now, thanks) and the IAC is clean and timing is dead on at about 12 degrees base. hooked a scanner to it and it shows no problems. my TB does stick a tiny bit at zero...

    well, i have done some work to my car since my first thread...replaced both O2 sensors, readjusted TPS, cleaned intake and TB, replaced plugs and wires, changed oil...now when i scan it i am getting ONE more code...Thermactor pump inop...would this be because i have no cats? is there anyway...

    my Stang failed...pretty badly too. can anyone help me figure out why? i failed cruise Hydrocarbons, the limit is 160 PPM i had 169 PPM and at idle i failed HORRIDLY with 1092 PPM and the limit is 220 PPM...i also failed CO at idle...the limit is 1.2 i had 1.27...can anyone help me determine...
