    my car weighed in at 3320 lbs with me in it last time at the track. i took my backseat out, swapped out heavy stock seats for 14 lb fiberglass ones and removed sound deadening stuff in the trunk.

    an excellent driver can get an m3 into the 12's, similar to a new vette or '03 cobra. FWI the CSL has been proven to be no faster than a manual transmission m3. $20,000 premium for same 0-60 time :(

    you could get a bennett racing 351 or 302 stroker with a dart block and all the best parts for a crapload less than 15,000. throw on some juice and use the extra money for a full griggs racing setup. ahhh, that sounds like my kind of sn95 :)

    that setup should scream. pms is definitely easier to use, but if you have the time to learn it and the technical savy the teecers seem to work really well. make sure to get it dynoed and post those badass numbers

    mmm.. if your starting with an '03 cobra you're talking about a minimum 30,000 dollar initial buy in, where as you could just buy a '94-'95 with a busted engine and drop in your motor of choice for much less.

    maybe some guys with experience in 5.0 turbo motors could speak up... or if you care about reliability on the street and track times why not build a bullet proof 331 with a 300hp nitrous system?

    450 is a generally accepted number, but thats with keeping the revs down and having an excellent tune.

    www.crmotorsports.com has the complete trick flow engine packages at good prices. 2040 for the street heat intake, 2100 for the track heat intake, those include shipping. and like other people said, if you have more money to spend go with afr heads and a good cam.
