    im getting pretty serious about buying a forged 331 shortblock for my cobra, and i have a big discount so i dont want to just have a local machine shop assemble one. how much do ya'll think it would cost to have a professional shop install a built short block? just trying to get some ball park...

    i get exactly 20.3 miles on the highway crusing at 70-80. the stock gauge isnt accurate at all, it shows me half full when in realityn its closer to 75%.

    Tough to loosen bolts?

    well i got a new socket set today and was able to take the driver seats out no problem. their is still a back bolt in the passengers seat thats stuck like all hell. im using a rachet and a 15mm socket and just cant get it to budge. is their anything else i can do to loosen her up???

    another 306?/ DSS short block users

    x2c is 1000 dollars cheaper, has a new block (dss is used), and forged crank (dss is cast). pretty big difference IMHO.

    OT: I got a job!!!

    ugh... 1000 dollars is like a drop of water in the ocean when it comes to a duke tuition... oh well, it'll be worth it when i get into a good law school, planning on keeping the cobra as a race car and having a porsche as a daily driver.

    coast high performance seems another popular choice for engine building. im probably going to with an x2c short block soon, 2200 bucks for a 331, new block, all forged. doesent seem like you can go wrong with DSS however.

    another fan of nitrous here. just make sure to go with colder plugs and lower timing, i run a 125 shot with no problems. as long as you dont use it all the time you wont put excessive wear on your engine.

    well im hoping to install my new x2c seats this week and i need to take the old ones out. the two front bolts were easy to get out with a wrench but the back 2 are much much tougher. i tried some wd40 to loosen them, but i still cant get them, and on the driversside it hardly looks like their is...
