    There's no logical reason why doing a tune-up would make a car run noticeably hotter. That said, a 180* t-stat will certainly lower the operating temperature of the engine. What is the condition of the rest of the cooling system? Radiator? Coolant? Waterpump? Fan clutch?

    I put SLP LM1's on my wife's 96. It still had stock manifolds and the stock h-pipe. She got compliments on how it sounded most every time she drove it. With the DOHC engine, it had a very exotic sound to it. Go for it.

    There is a post in 5.0 Talk asking about UPR k-members. I made a post that recommended that the OP do his research on UPR before giving them several hundred dollars. I said nothing bad about the company, I provided no examples, just suggested that they might want to do a few Google searches...

    I'm not alluding to anything except to tell him what I got for the ones that were on my wife's car when we bought it. Used parts are worth exactly what someone is willing to pay for them. In my case, that's $300. They actually looked pretty good on the guy's lowered 85 GT.
