    hyd clutch

Pull your pedal support and have Mustang Steve rollerize it. Get a set of heim-jointed upper and lower clutch rods from Opentracker. The Z-bar must be straight and reinforced. Opentracker will sell you one that is also rollerized but IMO that is a little bit of overkill. Because my z-bar...

    mustang exhaust

Personally I would get a set of 2.5" Flowmaster tail pipes ($100 from Summit) and the mufflers of your choice. Have a good muffler shop make the intermediate pipes. Weld all the joints. I tried the Borla Pro XS on the 351C in my 73 vert and they had a horrible drone between 1500-2000. For...

    Quick multimeter question

Lots of times a battery drain is due to the voltage regulator.

    opinions with tranny/gear ratio

I guess notchy is a relative term. I switched out a toploader with a Hurst shifter for a T5z with a Tri-Ax. The T5z now has about 1000 miles on it. The T5z is notchier than the toploader. Not a lot but while I would really slap the toploader around I am a little more deliberate with the T5z.

    Rebuild or Crate Motor?

You need to step back. You are going a million miles an hour in all different directions. It is VERY easy to start throwing big money at a car and end up with an expensive non-running project. Everybody says they want 400 or 500 horsepower but don't know (1) how to get there, or (2) how to...

    351C-2V Camshaft help.

I recommend against using the 40 year old stock valves. They have a nasty habit of coming apart - especially with the higher spring rates used with aftermarket cams. That will ruin your whole day.

    CAM SELECTION--NEED ADVICE

You mentioned AC. I would not spin one of the stock compressors over 5500 rpm. Better use a modern Sanden unit.

Vin no. engine code doesn't match

Two possibilities: (1) Somebody had a new door tag made and changed the VIN on that tag. (2) Factory mis-stamped the door tag. Or the inner fender. Title matches the inner fender so you had better go with that. As for mixed components - the factory either put in an A-code motor or a...

    hot starting

Lots of "remanufactured" starters are junk. Get a mini starter from DB electrical (about $50). It will take care of your problem.

Do not use an original one. You cannot trust 45 year old rubber.

PLS HELP? 1967 Shelby Headlights (Aftermarket)

Trouble bench bleeding my master cylinder

Here's what I do (MC on the car). You will need a helper. With fluid in the MC AND THE CAP ON have somebody step on the brake pedal and hold pressure. Slowly loosen one of the brake lines just a little. You chould have a big, absorbent rag around the fitting before loosening. The air...

    question on driveline angle

4 degrees might not cause you any problems. I would drive it first before cutting the tunnel.

    68 mustang suspension issue

Sounds like you might have a really bad case of bump steer. It can happen when the geometry of the steering components gets messed up. It will cause the suspension to "hang" in one spot when you hit a bump and you will experience rapid changes in alignment when you hit a bump. Did you use...

    big cam low vacuum

Try bumping the initial timing. That will usually give you a better idle and a little more vacuum. I have about 12" at idle. No problems with the power brakes.

    Help Diagnose my Fuel Problem

Really simple. Edelbrocks are notorious for boiling the fuel out of the bowls after driving. Only takes about 10 minutes. Both of mine have the exact same problem you describe. Basically the engine is flooded. Floor it and crank until it starts.

Need help with the clutch pedal spring...

If you have a diaphragm clutch then you do NOT want the spring. If you want to install it - I use a floor jack to stretch the spring. Hook one under the front axle and the other on the jack pad. Stretch and install washers, put into place, pull out washers.
