    BBK equal length shorties

I'd like to see the real world numbers too, but they are relatively new to the market so I think it will take awhile before some does a comparison, side-by-side. I mean who has the ability to put on two sets of headers in one day and make dynos runs  BTW how long did we wait for the...

    1.7L KB Results - 398hp / 415ft-lbs torque

Congrats on the new numbers. Just one question. At what rpms do the tires start to break loose?

    BBK equal length shorties

I'm not really worried about the installation, even if they were longtubes. I've done harder jobs, you just have to have the patience. I want them because I can't justify cutting my almost $400 mid pipe and also have more worries about scraping the exhaust because long tubes sit pretty low. :bang:

    BBK equal length shorties

Mods in sig. I think it will be a nice way to finish off my exhaust. I also heard that the headers are supposed to be close to long tube gains because the BBK ones have an actual collector at the bottom.

    BBK equal length shorties

Did anyone order these yet? I think I'm going to order some tommorow with the ceramic coating if they are in stock? I like the idea of not having to customize my x-pipe if buying long tubes. And BTW my buddy who helped me put my clutch in told me that he would kick me in the nuts if I got...

Yet another tire question... i know i know... sorry

StangLou, you will notice a little more "tracking" with the 275's up front. Tracking refers to the tires finding ruts in the road and making the steering wheel jerk a little bit when driving. It shouldn't be too much of a problem, but sometimes it is very noticeable.

Congrats on the new numbers. Nothing like being able to light up the tires at 50 mph :hail2: :nice: :hail2:

    Which Subrames?

Anything from MM is good. I have ones from Mac, and the welder told me that they lined up perfectly with no problems.

Springs, Shocks, and Struts Oh my!

Sounds good, but definitely get some subframes welded in too. That will tie the whole car together.

    Does MAC T/B suck?

I've had one on the car for over two years and have no problems with it. I think I paid only $125 for it on sale at GTR Racing.

    Custom Dyno Tuning ???

Okay guys, it has been awhile since I posted, but I need your help/advice. My car has been acting up lately with the check engine light coming on. My buddy at Ford read the codes, and it said that there was missing information from the ECU. Currrently I have the Hypertech program installed to...

    Dynoed my GT today.. *graph*

Your numbers look good and the a/f is safe. If you had a custom dyno tune, they might be able to tweak it a little bit more for a few more horses, but I wouldn't worry about it. My last #'s were 257hp/299tq with all the mods in my sig.

    Mod or Trade-in?

Nobody asked how many miles are on the GT? If you have low miles, then I'm with NasaGT...mod the current one. The newer Cobras are awesome, no doubt about it, but just imagine the look on a C5 owners face when a regular GT :rlaugh: beats the pants off him. :nice:

    Possible Computer Issues???

Agreed with checking all vacuum lines. Did you try to reset the computer already?

    BLOWERS?????

All you people with superchargers are making me sick. I want one so bad. I say go with the KB because then you don't have to buy a newer lower intake to maximize power with the Procharger.

    Clutch Question

My stock clutch was slipping at 12k miles. I'm with StangLou about the new clutch being one of the best mods ever. I never knew the car was able to chirp third until the new one was in.

    replacing shocks

Sorry 85GTlover, but you're wrong. The front struts are not connected to the springs by any means. That's why are front suspensions are called modified MacPhearson. The job is relatively easy, but you will need an impact gun to get the top bolts off where it goes through the strut tower. You...

Smoked my clutch not my tires! ??

Your clutch is starting to go. There may be some burnt spots on the clutch or uneven wear. Go ahead and order an upgraded one (Spec stage II or Centerforce Dual Friction) and get the upgraded shift cable, firewall adjuster, and quadrant for an extra $100. It will be money well spent because...

    Spark Plug Torque Spec?

Where are you guys getting these #'s. 15lbs is hand tight. I would hope your plugs a just a little tighter than that.
