    Serious Safety Question!

Thanks for the pics cjones and info mustangsteve. But that might be just a little overboard for me. I think the MM with the swing out doors is the way to go. The KB one looks nice and is probably easier to get in and out of, but it is not NHRA approved.

    Serious Safety Question!

Thanks, just one more question. How much clearance is there between the seats and the side bars?

    2004 mustang e.t's

If it is going to be your only transportation then go with the Lightning. That way you will still be able to put a sheet a plywood in the back. Try that with your mustang...LOL. I agree with everyone else though, for equal money the mustang will rip the L a new hole.

    Serious Safety Question!

Thanks acidpete. Did you get the one that has the lowered door bars for easy entrance/exit of the car? What did it cost for the install if you didn't do it yourself?

    Serious Safety Question!

I can't believe no one in this place has a roll cage in their car! Can someone please give some info on fit/finish for different brands. I tried the search button before I even posted this and none of my questions were answered.

X pipe question? Off-road or catted?

I have yet to find a cop that is willing to stick his head on the ground to see if you have cats, especially if the car is lowered. If you get pulled over just shut the car off so it doesn't smell so bad.

clutch went out, ouch *pics included*

Happy with my Centerforce Dual Friction. It grabs real hard. I didn't even know I could chirp third until I got installed. Most people will tell you to go with the Spec Stage II. I think they are equally as good.

    Serious Safety Question!

But, doesn't the 6 point bar have one that goes diagonally across your mid-section. That should be enough for the street. I don't want to go overboard, just more protection than the weak cross brace in the factory door itself.

    Serious Safety Question!

Thankfully, both girls were hit on the passenger side. My sister was just shaken up (thank God), but the other girl has broken ribs, bruising, and cuts. The girl across the street did end up rolling the car over. The SUV hit her so hard that it flipped the car when it hit the curb. I'm not...

    Serious Safety Question!

Okay guys, I need your help. I want everyone's opinion/comments on roll bars. Who's got them, who had any fitment issues, prices, etc. In the last week both my sister and the young girl across the street from me have been T-boned going through an intersection. The way the cars looked...

It's tire time for me... need advice!

What's your price range? I heard that the Bridgestone Pole Postion SO-3 are the best for the rain. But they are expensive. You could look into the BFG KDW. I think they are only ~160 a piece. Not bad for a good tire.

    how much hp?

That is kind of a tricky question. Do you mean peak hp, or across the board? I would say about 10hp peak. I know when I installed my x-pipe, under 3k rpm the car seemed the same, but above that it started to scream.

Just got off the phone with with Diablo Sport...

Can you adjust your A/F ratio with it? If not, then get a custom dyno tune.

    Diablo chips?

I had one in for awhile, but eventually took it out when I started having problems with my P.A.T.S. system. I could tell a little improvement up top, but there were some custom features on mine (it wasn't an off the shelf). If you ever decide to do any major motor work or get new gears, the...

    Clutch Slipping at 20,500 miles...WTF?

LOL, my stock clutch lasted 12.5K miles. You can tell if the clutch is going bad when you shift really hard from 1-2. If the motor just revs, but you don't go anywhere, then it is fried. Like GotMustangs said, its just time to upgrade.

Anyone here use Ford Synthetic Blend 5W-20 oil?

Until your warranty is up, I would use the specified 5W-20. If you blow your motor, the first thing Ford is going to do is send a sample of your oil to a laboratory to be tested. I use the recommended oil, and it is 1.79 at my Wal-Mart.

Poll: FR500 or '03 Cobra seats?

There might be blood stains on the 03 seats if it came from a wrecked car? Besides, for that kind of money they better be brand new. Go with the FR500.

    Finally....KB dyno numbers

Congrats on the numbers. It just makes me want one that much more now. BTW start saving for a new bottom end if you plan on that 12lb pulley.
