Venom_Nitrous - The blower and inlet is from the Whipple 03 Cobra kit. Intake I found on Ebay (Roush Stage III) - Most of the 03 parts on the front are from searching the forsale forums - Intercooler is from Spearco - Other parts are from Ford dealers.
Mustang70 - This is the Whipple 2.3L...
IMHO - Build the suspension. One of the fastest cars ever built only had 300 RWHP, but, it was able to transfer the power to the ground and keep it there.
There is no need to spend a ton of money for high numbers if you sit and spin the wheels.
It would be much more expensive to mount that then to buy a fully functional KB kit. You need a custom intake - blower plate - IC. Then you need the water pump - heat exchanger - reservoir. Don't forget a custom inlet tube - tuning and fuel rails.
Lot's of work.
Ahh those darn adapter plates. :rlaugh:
8 Ribs will definetly be needed with that deal. I also like the fact that they went with the bigger TB inlet tube. :nice:
Are you going to be able to run aftermarket fuel rails with this? I thought there was an issue with the 03's doing it but...
Did they shorten the snout or set the blower back further to make it work with a single belt? I assume they had to lift it up so that the intercooler hoses could be connected?
It looks pretty cool !
I second the Breed covers. They are very high quality.
I don't have any first hand knowledge about the BBK's - but a buddy of mine was able to check a set out and he said that the BBK's don't have nearly as much material as the breeds and they don't have an internal baffle. I don't know why...
There are a couple of things.
1st is the intake. The Saleen intake design doesn't allow for enough air flow. The runners start at the bottom then go up and do a 180 degree turn into the heads. They are also tiny.
2nd is the intercooler - it's not very efficient even though it's gotten...
