    FYI - Steve recently purchased a '69 or '70 so he could mock up the cable setup. He'll have one for ship in a couple of months if you can wait. I know a guy who put the Modern Driveline unit into his '70 Cougar and likes it very much.

    What rotors did you use? Did you fab your own brackets? If I had the parts lying around and was broke, I'd do the GT stuff. Beats the snot out of drums.

    It appears you have a fuel delevery problem that is causing a lean missfire. I'd suggust getting a fuel pressure gauge, and checking it right behind the filter. You need to check it cold and hot, when it runs good, and when it doesn't.

    Those "Help" plugs split after a distrubingly short period of time. I would either: 1. Use a short piece of heater hose and loop it back onto the intake or 2. Remove the nipple and tap in pipe threads for a pipe plug if I cared about cosmetics

    The older aluminum brackets won't work with the 12" GT stuff. There is an interference problem between the bracket and the caliper becasue the aluminum bracket is reliefed special for the Cobra PBR caliper. Supposedly the newer steel ones will fit. Why would you want the little brakes?

    You should of cycled the suspension with the shock installed. It controls how much downtravel you have. I would suggest you do it again with the shock installed. It won't cost anything. I guess what I'm trying to say is the bump steer you observed may not actually occur within the travel...
