Can you pull the steering colume out of the steering box?

It a 66 coupe, that I am tearing down. Everything is off (bolts) from inside the cab, but it looks like there is something that need to be loosened on the steering box itself, so I can the shaft out of the box. Its been years since I did my 70 Eliminator, so I am a bit rusty on the mechanics...

Shorty headers, with RPM kit installed on a 289

Are shorty headers worth the money, if I have the stock heads? The intake and cam have been changed out with an Edelbrock RPM kit, but they left the heads stock. Has any done this swap, if so was it worth the money? I have the engine pulled at the moment, so I figure this would be the best time...

What's the best way to get an alloy Rad in a 66

I have been searching the threads, but I cannot seem to find the answer. I have a stock 66 set up, with the in and out of the radiator on the passenger side. The radiator just blew, and I would like to go aluminum. I see a lot guys talking about Northern radiators, but they all seem to be...

The turboed 67 has been dynoed

I take it, that this is a blow through set up. Is it a homemade carb, CSU, etc? Is there a thread that talks about the engine? I have a T76 set up, that I could use on my 66, but not too sure if I really want to do that.

The turboed 67 has been dynoed

I would think that is a little too much fuel, not good for the rings/bore, maybe? Damn good numbers:)

    Question about relays

If you burn something, normally its the wires that fry, because the load was too big. The relay contacts will normally open if the load is too great for the relay. If I wire a 40amp fan, per say, I will run two 25 amp relays in parallel, because I have a bunch of them around :). Keep the...

    Question about relays

It makes no difference, the relay is a short for the main power, its irrelevant which direction the voltage or current flows :)

Best bang for the buck, 66 suspension shot

I just picked up my 66 Coupe', needless to say, when you make a turn in the corners, the wheels are way off. Tires are only 4 months old, and they are both bald on the inside of the tread. Should I go ahead and rebuild keeping the orgiinal design, or go with some other suspension package. I like...

60 over 68 302 block, over heating issues?

Thanks for the input. It is pretty cheap, for here. A stock everything351W rebuild runs around $2000. I plan on running a Mark VIII fan, with a 3 core alloy rad. I guess I will go ahead and buy the block, and throw the dice.

60 over 68 302 block, over heating issues?

I have been out of the classic Ford scene for a while. From what I remember, a 60 over block had issue with over heating, is that true? Or has my memery failed me:) I have a chance to pick up a 302 with a fresh 60 over bore here in England, but before I make that leap, I wanted to ask you guys...

    C6 vs FMX

C6 robs a lot of HP, but then again they are pretty darn stout. I would go with a C4 myself, but it depends on what you are doing with the car?
