    High compression, equals?

    hey just thought id jump in since my car sounds alot like what you are thinking about building. my 331 is 10.5:1. the heads are ported w/1.90/1.60 valves, supposed to flow with the afr185. anyways as far as daily driving and stuff its fine i think, i havnt had any problems in all the situations...

    Suggestion on Combo

    my combo is pretty similar to what you had originally planned, even down to the xe274. i really dont know what kind of power im making, or what kind of et and mph i would put up at the track (anybody can chime in if you have an estimate). hopefully making 400+ at the crank after tune.

    Adjustable Fuel Pressure Regulator question

    not to steal the topic, but does anyone have a diagram of the afpr and where to usually find the allen bolt hole? my car came with the afpr but im having trouble finding the nut, although i havnt looked to hard yet i just want t know where the general spot is.

    Your running 30#ers on a 302? Does it run rich at all? What kind of fuel pressure are you running?

    sounds like a plan :) . It was just an idea as we recently aquired a timing gun, and I started reading that most people have success with 14 so I though Id give it a shot, but looks like it will probably stay the same until it gets tuned.

    Yes it is 281pony's old car. Would the compression actually pose a potential risk? If so I dont really want to take it, its just something I wanted to try, would setting it to say 12 make a difference even? I really dont want to take any chances. It will eventually get a dyno tune next spring...

    Gese. In my H/C/I 331 im running 3.55s as well with 275nittos on the back and 1st gear is pretty useless, but second catches nicely, I wonder what the difference is.

    I would deffinately say you have a problem somewhere. On the 331 in my car I have almost the exact setup, bbk shorties to h to 2 chamber flows, and the only drone is when moderately on the throttle like 2k to 3k or so, but yours sounds much louder even when idling, so I would suspect something...

    LM motorsports put LT headers on the car and got 480rwhp w/o a tune. Dont know how much a tune will gain it, but near 500rwhp with just LTs
