    ? about 4.10 Gears

    Should have listened back at the end of July. But better late then never. My FRPP gears have never ever whined. Why would anybody take a chance on those Motive gears? So many people can't be wrong.

    Difference in ET times with 4.10 gears?

    I changed from the factory 3.55's to 4.10's in my 05 and my times didn't improve either. I believe some of the problem was very hot track temps with the 4.10's. And I'm still running the stock tires. Wheels spin was a huge problem. Even when I would get a real good 60 ft time I would blow it...

    Launching on street tires...

    I've tried lots of different rpms. It's pretty hard not to spin the tires. I would say 2,000-2,500 yields the best results. I changed gears to 4.10's and it makes it really touchy with the stock tires.

    CAI and tune, gains really from the tune?

    I have heard and read that the stock air box isn't very restrictive. And that the big gain comes from the tune. I have the jlt 2 and brenspeed tunes but I've never tried the tune seperate from the cai.

    300 rwhp?????

    You hit the nail on the head. Without the cats the sound is exactly as you described, but only at certain rpms. Brent from Brenspeed told me it was due to the new 3V motor. I'm going to get resonators on mine soon. I've heard they take care of the raspy sound.

    300 rwhp?????

    I saw an artilce in a magazine that showed an O/R h pipe did lose hp but it gained torque. They bolted on several different things in search of 300 rwhp. One of the last things they did was install an O/R h pipe instead of the high flow catted pipe.

    07 Stang on Horsepower TV now

    They had it all put back together several weeks ago. But they wouldn't put it on the dyno because it needed some serious tuning because of all the mods. I never have seen them dyno it. Maybe I missed it maybe they've never shown it yet.

    Lowering Springs for Convertible

    I put on a set of the FRPP springs a few months ago and really like them. It looks a lot better and rides a little firmer. I would do it again.

    Hurst v.s Steeda Tri axe

    I'm sure there the Steeda is a good shifter but so is the Hurst and it looks awesome. The Steeda is a snooze to look at. Anyone can look in the car, see that white Hurst knob and crome rod, and know it means muscle car. Heck it would be worth the money just for the looks.
