    I don’t know much about the T.F.'s But the AFR's are extremely good heads. Plus they are aluminum, making them easy to port for future mods. I would go with the AFR's!!

    Look at your air filter housing and tubing. Make sure there are no leaks. I had a similar "bucking” problem and it turned out that my air filter( K&N ) was slipping off.

    I can make my 95' vert look like a Saleen fairly inexpensively. So if I buy a Saleen, it won’t be just for looks, more for the whole package, and I will want it to be original. No bolt-ons etc... So IMO you do risk lowering the value of a Saleen when modifying it.

    Look in the Ford motor sport Catalog, I think you can get a brand new 8.8 with either 3.55's or 3.73's for 850.00 less axles.

    Not only that, but even flow numbers can't be trusted. When one of the mags. did a huge head comparison article there were some heads that out flowed the AFR’s but didn’t make as much HP.

    I am an AFR owner and highly recommend them. Not only for the Hp gain but for overall quality. I was a previous owner of Edelbrock heads and was not happy with their performance or the quality.

    Out of the box AFR's will flow better then out of the box Edelbrocks. But, getting a good port job on the Edelbrock’s will yield better flow ratings then the out of the box AFR’s. Potentially making more HP.

    I think ordering from DSS or CHP etc. is far simpler then gathering parts from different places. That way its only one place that’s responsible. So if something goes wrong with lets say a connecting rod, DSS would take the responsibility of disassembly and reassembly of the engine to take care...

    The cam is a Comp Cam XE282HR with Duration at .050 = 232/240 and lift =.565/.574 with 112 degree lobe sep. Now I believe theres even more hp available with a little more lift, as the AFR 185's flow better at .600 lift.
