    Chevy, gimme a break.

On paper, the camaro almost always looks like a better buy. It's still up to the consumer. This is competition. And this will happen, but its a good thing. Folks, if we didnt have it and if it werent for the camaro we may not be getting this new 5.0 in the mustang. Ford would have very...

    Water spots

A clay bar or good cleaner wax should be sufficient to get water spots out. Hard water etching on the other hand, needs to be buffed out. If you take care of the water spots when or right after they happen, they wont advance to this. But if the spots sit, and the water evaporates and the...

    Gas mileage help

More than likely, its not his driving per se thats killing him, its his trips. The OP clearly states on his first post that his daily trips are 3-6mi. If you drive 5mi and shut it off for 4 hours and drive another 5mi, your fuel economy is going to suck. His mileage would be far better if he...

brake question/problem. i have a noise. help please

We will need a video with sound to help you. If thats not possible and you cant figure it out, take it to the dealer. More than likely, if there are ZERO performance issues and it drives perfectly fine, its just a noise. "Noises" happen. But it wouldnt hurt to get it checked out.

    Gas mileage help

Honestly, you can change EVERYTHING - plugs, fuel filter, etc. If you see a difference, it wont be much. You're driving really short trips, and I mean REALLY short. You are practically ONLY driving the car in open loop. It's probably hitting closed loop by the time you get there, but...

    Getting 4.10s soon...expectations?

At first, I wasnt sure it was worth the cost. Driving around town normally, it's hardly noticeable. Some give the impression you have to shift alot - yes, more than stock but not "alot". Highway takes a little getting used to at first, but now I much prefer the 4.10s over stock. MPG is...

    Would you sell???

I would LOVE to have a termi or a newer, more refined mustang. Why do I keep mine? 1) Its PAID OFF!! I owe nothing to anyone to keep it. Period. Most of you would agree with me here. If I get something else, I will have a payment. There is no amount I could sell it for that would make...

Coolant Problem - Coolant Level Rising

Cant read into these things so far as to assume its an internal engine problem right off the bat. Reason? He would have atleast one of 3 things, none of which are mentioned. 1) Misfire and/or running rough. If combustion is getting into the coolant, he is losing compression. A motor does...

    lowering

What springs is all personal preference, as already noted by others. Search around and read up on how particular springs ride/feel. Also, use the google images search. It will give you plenty of pics to look at to help decide how much of a drop you want. Also, if you really want to do it...

    New Car!! (non-mustang warning)

Nice car. I've always liked those things. Sure would be a great DD; better MPG than the stang, but still sporty enough to atleast have a little fun with during daily duty. Just not too crazy about the wing on the back, I like the standard roofline better. I remember a guy at tech school...

Tech Help: Valve float, not fully closing? (Long)

Sounds odd. Picture of the dyno graph could be helpfull. 310hp/380tq on a 4.6 seems to me its fine, and then falling off after a certain point. Just a guess. 120psi compression doesnt really constitute for a dead cylinder, but it does seem low. The shop could also have used a guage that...

    Spark Plugs, Beam Torque Wrench?

From a professional standpoint, a torque wrench is needed when the job calls for it. There is a torque spec for every damn nut and bolt on a car, but how many people do you see yanking out a torque wrench to tighten a drain plug after an oil change? There are things that I will use a torque...

    Spark Plugs, Beam Torque Wrench?

No need, I have a calibrated arm :D In all seriousness, when I did replace my first set, I did torque them. Only to find out I would have applied the same pressure without the torque wrench anyway. I am one of those "do this for a living guys", and I do know what a tight plug feels like. I...

What should I get with $200$

Subframes is another one of those mods that most people dont do until they have done almost all of the bolt ons they *want* to do first. Wanna know how bad the chassis flex is? Put your car on a lift and open the door, you will know body flex. They will help keep your car straight after all...

    Dream modular build...

Built 5.4 with high compression, 4v heads, stage 2 - 2.5 N/A cams, and an aussie boss 290 intake. Nitrous for the just-in-case. T-56, built rear with maybe 3.55's, MM suspension. Custom longtubes, and bassani the rest of the way. -or- 5.0 BB, T/F heads, single turbo, turbo cams, T-56...

    checking trans fluid

That really does not make any sense. It it designed to read within a certain range hot and cold. I will note, however, that *hot*may be at a specific degree, not just drive it for 30 miles and check it. If it wont even read on the stick cold, I would be skeptical. Also, some...

    Bullitt brake install questions

The fronts are a simple on/off procedure. bdcardinal answered your questions. If you use some needle nose vicegrips and put some rubber hose on the tips, you can use that to pinch off the brake line. You will lose alot less fluid that way, and will make it a little easier to bleed.

    Something breaks every time!

I got two front Mach 1 seats for $400 with MUCH more support. I'd save the money, unless your happy with the poor bolsters. When I replaced mine, my bolt broke as well, one on the pass side. Its a very large bolt, and was crazy time consuming to drill out. You will need alot of patience...

    what about the 2000GT's?

I love my 00'. Yea, I wish it had the nice little additions the 01's+ have, like a double din radio and better center console layout. I still have the plastic intake and just shy of 139k, it still hasnt cracked. I think its all in how you treat it. Mods are in sig. Parts I have replaced...

Finally, a PI Intake to a Non-PI Heads Adaptor Kit!

$500!!! It's a neat idea for those who dont want to jump knee deep into a build, but get real. If you are patient enough, you could do a PI headswap for around that much. Hell you could find a complete PI motor in the neighborhood of $500.
