    68 289 turbo or supercharge ?

i also think it's halarious that you need a solid cam, low gear, big block to run a ****ty 11.80 (probably at only 114mph). :rlaugh: i ran almost that with an ABSOLUTELY stock 302 with just 9psi (119mph too). welcome to the world of forced induction.

    68 289 turbo or supercharge ?

my 94gt had stock block, stock crank, stock rods, stock pistons, and stock cam that ran 10.78@130 on pump gas. it made 500rwtq at 3700rpms. i drove it every day to work for years. next.

    Changes for my 67 80mm, EFI, A/W

rock on! the other day i bit the bullet and bought 120# inj, magnafuel 4303 pump, and fp gauge. the only thing left to buy to get it on the road is the ecu (i have NO idea how i'm going to fund that, though).

    Changes for my 67 80mm, EFI, A/W

i figure the 120's are good for 950hp @ 90% with e85. that would put my car in the 155mph range. i don't see me being near that anytime soon, so i feel safe. i see what your saying about the batch fire. go on yellowbullet.com and ask around to see if anyone had any luck running 160's with...

    Changes for my 67 80mm, EFI, A/W

nice, but i for simplicity sake, i would just use one set of 120's. people have gotten 160's to drive fine. i'm buying my inj's weds.

in car video of my turbo fastback-finally

the wg is ported fine below the carb. a turbo isn't going to make boost when the throttle is closed (other than from the inertia of the impeller). a bov takes care of that.

my plugs looked similar to yours. it was totally random what each plug would be. yet another drawback of blow-thru. btw- i think i finally had my car on the road in late '04.

Deep in the 6's now !!

people have been leaving blow-thru in droves lately. the lack of accurate fuel control through out the rpm range is too much of a downside for a street car.

Deep in the 6's now !!

congrats dustin! it's haulin' the mail now. i ran a 10.00 with a 6.47. turbo cars usually shine in the back half, so 1.55 works out a little closer.

    Retrofit roller lifter options

to add- i think the crower lifters are adding to your confusion. i think they're too inexpensive to be the linked type. their catalog isn't clear on that. call them to verify.

    Retrofit roller lifter options

you have two options. 1. use standard hyd roller lifters. you need the 'spider' and dogbones. this is how a late model 5.0 is set up. BUT, using this setup on a non-roller block requires that you use a small base circle cam. 2. use crane linked hyd roller lifters. you won't need the...

i'm running e85, which requires 50% more fuel. yes, they're low impedance inj. the stock inj and up to 60 (or 72, i can't remember) are high imp.

for me, it was alot cheaper to sell my intake and buy a new efi manifold. i'm just in a holding pattern until spring (remember, i live in the great white north. lol.) whoever i buy it from will supply a bas tune. i'll go from there. brian & howard. good freinds of mine. i'll be...

there you go, using that 4-letter word (cost). the answer is: TOO DAMN MUCH! i don't know exactly (don't want to know either), but even after selling my old carb, pump, reg, and intake, it's still in the thousands. :( thanks, man, you just ruined my whole weekend.
